Mario Gotze admits he will always be open to the idea of working under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The 26-year-old played the best football of his career under the former Borussia Dortmund boss, playing a key role in the club’s run to the 2013 Champions League final. Gotze subsequently made a controversial transfer to Bayern Munich but struggled to find his best form and returned to Dortmund two years ago.

too late gloryhound. you can get stuffed imo

He’s officially a champions league finalist Right Back. But why let that stop you talking sh1t <whistle>
I think he is a very good RB with a lot of potential to get even better, I would have him at OT if the chance arose.
If you look at my first post on this I was querying the assertion that he is a CM <ok>

So more rumours - LFC still want Fekir but want to renegotiate few with Lyon after discovering things in the medical.

Makes no sense. We are not going to spunk all that money if the medical brought up some issues. It's all speculation as mentioned before. I will be happy if it gets through though.

My predicition is between now and the end of the world cup we will be flogging away deadwood. If we are getting a keeper I think it will be late in the window.

Terms and fee were agreed with Lyon, subject to medical. But according to a few reports, he has passed the medical but LFC sought second opinion.

If there were serious issues brought up in the medical, I think we would have pulled the plug straight away.

Since we haven’t, I assume we are using the issues in the medical to drive the price down further.

Breaking | Liverpool understood to have tried to lower the fee in their pre-existing deal with Lyon after Nabil Fékir's medical, according to @Tanziloic of RMC, who was incidentally the individual who prematurely broke that a deal was in place between the 2 clubs last month.

Clearly we felt the big fee wasn't worth the risk. Medical staff etc no better than us, so have to trust their decision. Question is, who do we go for now?

All off it seems then. Must be some serious concerns if everything was agreed and now it’s off.

Leys hope we have other options lined up and don’t just leave it at that like we’ve done in past.

Last thing we want is a crook.

You don't buy a 2nd hand car with a ****ed engine so we have to accept the view of our professionals.

Klopp doesn't tend to buy others. Fekir was his target.

Probably put the extra towards a keeper. We're fairly stacked in midfield tbh.

We’ve already got too many injury prone players in the squad. Maybe it a bullet dodged but what a shame because he’s a brilliant footballer and he must be gutted for it slip through his fingers at the 11th hour.

Yeah gutted tbh as he's quality. But look on the bright side.. Keita and Fabinho both in.
