He's nowhere near the Brazilian squad and they're hardly stacked for DMs.
He's played in a league that doesn't need a DM.

He’s a very good player - one of the best DM’s in the world IMO. Great positionally, calm and composed on the ball, physical presence. Exactly what we need.
Re. Not going to the World Cup - I don’t really care. It means he has a full preseason with us and klopp can work his magic.
That will be the number 6 role locked down for a few years.
Bit OTT but but yes he's a good player and we need cover in that position. I don't think it effects the signing of an attacker we'll deffo go there at some point
