3 on sunday.

first one ****e. only half watched spurs ending etc.

then what.... united v cheslea. wacthed par se poor game

then league cup final.. disinterest due to standards on show.

I find when there are 3 games in a row, if the first one is decent it inspires me to watch the others. If the first one is crap I lose interest. Not including any LFC games in that of course.

Are we 'desperate' ? I'm not <ok>

That reminds me of a time we were watching children's TV with our grandson and Brian Blessed, as the voice of one of the cartoon characters, said in his big, booming voice 'it's better than real, it's pretend' ........... <laugh>

They something similar on Peppa Pig... "it's real plastic gold"

De Vrij "More Likely"
Arsenal were in the hunt for Stefan de Vrij, but the perennial losers seem to have shifted their attentions elsewhere after it was reported the Dutchman is “more likely” to join Liverpool instead

Contracts mean little these days but if we can get him on a huge release clause that will be something (£250m?)
I'm not particularly concerned about Mo going anywhere else, he seems happy and I think he will be a Liverpool player for the foreseeable

I was being flippant. I'm certain there will be a whopping release clause. I defo don't think he'll go anywhere next season. Depends how next season goes. He's definitely not a 'flash in the pan' type player who can be 'worked out'.

FSG won't do release clauses, hence the Can contract issues

What about when the pressure comes on, like it did with Coutinho? I remember he seemed like a nice, quiet and humble sort too.
I'm not saying this will happen, just that I wouldn't get complacent for a moment.

we won't want any release at all. I'm sure theres not one now. We are just trying to lengthen deal and make him happyish if we tell him to stay 12 months.

If you are on 180-200k.. it softens the blow on the 300k per week compared to 120k
