Liverpool could also pay “up to £50m” for the Leicester midfielder Wilfried Ndidi, according to the Mirror – citing the very reliable Nigerian publication The New Telegraph. Reds manager Klopp apparently “admires Ndidi’s physical approach” and is set to swoop for the 21-year-old Fox this summer.

I have no idea if this is true or not but if it is I would really like our club to spot these players a bit sooner and save some cash. What do they do all day??!!

Can't speak for others, but, I have been wondering that for a while now.

Is it a risk factor? Smaller clubs with less budgets are more inclined to take the gamble?

If not how do I apply for a job :bandit:

If it is about risk it would be easier for a big club to "gamble" I'd have thought. A bit like how Chelsea stockpile players throughout Europe. It seems most never play for the first team ever but they make a profit on some of them I suppose.

its expectation.

We see a guy who has proved he can kick a ball around a park in the prem physically and then decide he is good enough.

Others spend smaller money and if he half works out its still "ok"

Its not like we are linked to 20 lads up and down the prem is it? Its one.

Plus it could be an agent

Anyone else wondering if Can if waiting for some other approaches apart from Juve or surely something concrete would have come out from Italy.
Were their rumours about Man City being interested in the summer ?.

I think it'd be fair to say a player like kennedy is a risk. to cheslea but he looks decent and the fee was not that big.

I would say looking at what we have done lately we have not taken a risk on a player except for robertson under klopp... maybe karius?

Solanke is a 3mil steal who can be sold for 5 even if he plays only u23. thats not really a risk is it?

Ox,
VVD
Windy
Salah
matip
mane

they are all clearly bought to be first team players right away even if some were hmmm not sure why we bought him types.

its big money but its klopp going for an immediate first teamer.

Sure if rogers got VVD for 10mil he would have looked a hero. but he was told he's not for us by the "committee"

I really don't know what can is at.

I am not a risk taking perosn but if i were running a contract down I would want a precontact signed on jan 1 so i know whats what and am covered if some thick **** form cardiff etc broke my leg in 3 places.

It is actually a relatively big risk to take to run this down cos if someone takes his leg off next week he could be out of contract with no offers.

i'm of the play safe type myself ,well financially i am , so i do find it intriguing as if one had been signed surely it would be public knowledge by now. Just wonder if he now thinks the Juve offer is less than he could get staying in PL.
