We should either give Ward a shot or let him out on loan.
Ward's an interesting one.
He had a great season on loan (Huddersfield?), got recalled by Klopp, told he'll be his number 1 in a few years time, not given any chances but not sent out on loan again despite other clubs wanting him and him wanting to go on loan, so he just stagnates in the reserves and now isn't happy. Don't blame him.

I'd play him over Mignolet at least who I only just realised is 30 <yikes>! He's certainly not getting any better and is past the age where most keepers improve by.

Someone suggested Alex Teixeira. We were supposedly after him when he was playing in Ukraine. Left to play in China. :emoticon-0136-giggl

We're gunna buy Zaha, I'm telling you

Then announce a couple of precontracts - Goretzka and de Vrij

Then buy a keeper in the summer

Job done <whistle>

Yes, am bladdered...

all i've heard is goretzka has all but agree the numbers with bayern but we are still trying there.

Could be a case of him milking us for all we are worth TBH.

on the echo today.

Apparently this comes form Dortmund http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor.../liverpool-news-transfers-live-lemar-14129433

Dortmund revealed that they benefited from Barca’s interest in Coutinho in the Summer. Klopp passed on a message to them to say that LFC wouldn’t sell, saying ‘don’t worry, we’re not selling Coutinho to Barcelona. So, if they come to you looking to sign Dembele, be assured that they have enough money and ask for a lot of money. They signed Dembele for a lot and topped that with Coutinho so I don’t know where that leaves with them in terms of Antoine Griezmann.

So in fairness we royally shafted barca last summer and this winter we've taken a massive massive fee off them as well. 250mil down the pan eh?

Politics and national pride have become so prominent in football that the transfer market at the highest level has been totally transformed. PSG is effectively owned by an oil rich country and they decided after the Barcelona debacle they had to have a top star (ironically that same man who dumped them out of the CL). Qatar's pride took a knock but they thought they had restored some of it by extracting a star from one of the biggest clubs in the world. Then it was Catalonia's pride to be wounded when Barcelona lost Neymar , even for £200m. And had to rectify that. Now we are talking of £100m + for a half decent player. Dembele and Coutinho for £200m, VVD for £75m. Very few clubs in the world are themselves worth the combined price of these 3 players.

The whole thing is utter madness and when the music stops I hope we are not the one knocked out of the musical chair charade.

From Carl to Phil

Please spare us the crocodile tears, Phil. If you really loved us as you said you did or still do, you would have thought a little bit of your club , of your team mates and your manager and fans and stayed for only 4 extra months. That would have cost you nothing. Barcelona do not need you to win their league. And if as you said you had us in your heart then you wouldn't have insisted on dumping us in mid season.

If you want to leave (whether for love, dream or money) , just go. Don't pretend you want the best for LFC, the best outcome for the season for us etc. And worse, don't take us for fools. Actions as they say speak louder than words. Your words are completely dissonant with the actions you've just taken. Have a good life.

Just sorted that out a bit.

I don't think Coutinho did leave on a bad note. It's only the fans by the sounds of it too.

Mascherano certainly left on a worse note. He DID strike to get his move. Granted, Woy was manager so even Saint would have striked but still...
As a fan I think he has left on a bad note. It is pretty much nailed by Carl in the one of the above posts.
I understand why Barcelona want to Couts but they are using him as a comforter. That said Barcelona are only doing what they think is right for their team I have no beef with that
I am fine with and understand ford going. I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the emotional letter that treats us as Carl says as fools.
My feelings on ford are that of meh - he was with us and now he’s not.
He will undoubtably improve at Barcelona and his value will most likely go up not down. He is not a legend but he is not a crap player he was a good player that did well for us and who will get better, similar to sterling for me.
