Lallana > Coutinho as a midfielder

Salah > Coutinho as a forward

We don't need or even want a like for like replacement, just make sure the overall contribution is being made up
<laugh>

Talk about brave facing it, you absolute joke

FSG negotiated an extra ~£50m AND half a season (12 goals 8 assists) <applause>

Coutinho is paying part of the transfer fee himself since Barca are skint [HASHTAG]#desperate[/HASHTAG]

Ok, well it is what it is. Every man has his price and £142m is batshit crazy stuff.

Hopefully we get a target that we want this window to replace, otherwise there will be a bit of a backlash

Liverpool and Barcelona have agreed terms for the £145m transfer of Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian playmaker is expected to travel to Spain on Saturday evening to put the finishing touches to the deal.

Coutinho is expected to watch Barcelona's home La Liga match with Levante on Sunday afternoon.

It is the second most expensive transfer of all-time, behind his compatriot Neymar, who left Barcelona to join Paris Saint-Germain in an £198m move last summer.

Liverpool have no interest in bringing in either Riyad Mahrez or Thomas Lemar this month. The feeling is that Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are good enough to replace Coutinho, at least until the end of the season. (James Pearce)

I don’t think buy this for a second BUT .. if this is true, then I’m deactivating.

That's simply not good enough, and every man and his dog knows isn't true.

If we get no one in, the good mood we've built up will deteriorate instantly

Agree with this.

Weren't good ebough WITH him. No justification in letting him go halfway through the season if replacements not in place.

I'd even stretch to accepting pre sign deals for the summer announced now....just.

Otherwise we've let a little cock bully us from a position of absolutely no power.

I mean VVD is in...if Coutinho had huffed he could have buggered him daily in the changing room until he put the effort back in...

Disappointed he’s going mid season when league is so tight that every point counts but £145m is crazy money.

Hope we go and replave him this window to keep momentum up.

Hes been brilliant and it’s hard not to wish him luck. Shame he’s acted like bit of a dick at start of each window with an ‘injury’ which has tainted it some what.

We can only hope that there is no injury crisis in the second half of the season.Facing Manchester city next Sunday is not helpful. Hope Lallana
and others can up their games.

I'm sure Klopp and Buvac will have been planning for Couts departure for a while as far as a replacement is concerned.

FFS some of you guys are a [HASHTAG]#joke[/HASHTAG] and totally disrespectful to our team and manager with the [HASHTAG]#seasonover[/HASHTAG] BS

Coutinho wasn't there when we beat Hoffenheim 1-2 or 4-2 to qualify for the CL.

Coutinho wasn't there when we beat Arsenal 4-0. He was there when we drew 3-3 and when Spurs beat us 4-1.

Coutinho wasn't there when we knocked Everton out of the FA Cup. He was there when we drew 1-1 with Everton. He was there when Leicester knocked us out of the LC.
