That's what is holding this bullshit up, not the value of the player we have allegedly put on our player but how barca pay it.

So no offer has been made yet?
 
I think the deal would be done but for Coutinho to leave in summer.

Coutinho leaving now would not make sense especially for LFC and would do very little for Barcelona. There would not be more risk for Barcelona of waiting as no other big club are likely to overbid and Coutinho has already said he'd love to join Barcelona.

The owners would be absolutely thick and bonkers to put everything (CL performance this and entry next season) at risk by letting him leave this January.

What's that £97M up front £133M in total?

If we were certain to get Lemar or equivalent or another high quality midfielder this window take it. We aren't winning the CL with our midfield/defence anyway so not bothered about the cup tied malarkey.
 
so is melissa saying there are talks between the clubs as she is inferring by talking about possibilities that this was ruled out by barca after some discussion?

And you are right we are never winning the cl.

Its getting 4th.... thats the sole issue for US.

For barca... again.. unless someone is bankrolling them they must shift players on the wage structure.

It's really up to us like. Still think we should be insistent he only goes this window if we can get a target player in this window too. Perfectly reasonable request. Maybe Barca can get all their press and players to do us a solid and put pressure on the targets current club like they did with us <laugh>
 
the bid and associated transfer request and shirt stuff is being timed to have maximum disruption to LFC FA cup game :)

You would wonder if barca really want him if they do that... or do they just want to piss LFC off enough for us to refuse to do business.
