I would prefer Origi before his injury because he was brilliant then. After that, he really struggled.

Let him stay in Germany for the season, let him develop and build his confidence.

If these reports are true, then the Reds would be battling it out with eternal rivals Manchester United for his signature. According to BetStars, (h/t Daily Star), the defender is a priority target for Reds manager Jurgen Klopp. This is an interesting development, isn’t it?

Recently, we’ve seen Liverpool get linked with Steven N’Zonzi of Sevilla with the midfielder out of favour at the moment.

A powerful star in the middle of the pitch, the 28-year-old has apparently fallen out with the Sevilla manager and has been left in the cold for the past few games for the Spanish side.

Links with Liverpool and, indeed, Arsenal came about from that, then, and it seems as though El Gol in Spain thinks that a £35.3m fee has been agreed with the player to move to the Premier League in January.

According to the report it is Arsenal who have won the race for the 28-year-old French international as they look to get into the top four.

Meanwhile, though, we’re not too bothered if this is true as we feel as though we could sign players better suited to our style than the former Blackburn enforcer.

Would have thought we'd all be able to appreciate that previous times at clubs isn't always an indicator of future performance.

There are so many factors to take into account and surely the more recent performances (which have been for a few years now) are much better to go by?

The Daily Mail reported on Monday that the out-of-favour Liverpool striker was being lined up by Spanish side Valencia when the transfer window opens.

Regular football has been hard to come by for the 28-year-old this season and the Brendan Rodgers signing has only managed to start one game under Jurgen Klopp since the end of October.

Liverpool’s Coutinho Replacement?
Thomas Lemar could replace Philippe Coutinho at Liverpool this winter, which would give the Brazilian the clear opportunity to join Barcelona, says L’Equipe. Liverpool are keen on the AS Monaco midfielder, whom Barcelona also considered in the summer. If this transfer goes through, it’s likely Coutinho will get the exit that he seemed desperate for.
