News coming through that Sevilla have had a breakdown in relationship with Nzonzi. He has a buyout clause of €40m.

IMO he is exactly what we need. A tall and strong DM who can sit back, intercept, tackle and protect our defence.

Could be a pivotal if we pull it off in January.

Hmmmm.... don't think hes that great (based upon blackburn and stoke). Big, strong but not that intelligent. Heard he's been pretty good at seville but for 40m for a 28 year old i'd give that a miss. Better off going for one of the beasts (unsure how they'll be in a better league) of danilo from porto or william carvalho from Sporting who are both younger. Both very much in the wanyama look about them.

Maybe even try to poach Doucoure or Ndidi

I see what you're saying but he has improved tremendously since his Blackburn/Stoke days.

I think age is the main reason we won't fork out for him.

Out of all the DMs out there, I'd say Fabinho or Danilo are our best bet.

Think you'll find it's called big fish small pond syndrome :)
Perhaps, - if that meaningless jibe actually made any sense.
Last time I looked we were all swimming in the same pond. Do our strikers play against different defences than yours then?

just bantering (a jibe for a jibe you may say).

However there is a natural phenomenon that players who excel at other teams do not do well when the pressure is ramped up (or maybe its more to do with different systems for different players) who don't perform well with the pressure but are excellent when it is off.

That would make sense if there was more pressure playing for Chelsea than Liverpool <whistle>

In all seriousness some players just suit certain styles and surroundings. However Chelsea went through a mass recruitment of young talent in a money making scheme and a lot of young deluded footballers fell for it.
