Woodburn is the interesting one for me. He needs the games but needs a team that plays a similar style to ourselves too, no point in joining another PL team and sitting in their bench but didn't want to drop down the leagues too much and pick up bad habits.

I know little Wilson but he's a bit older isn't he? Needs to be making strides soon imo

The other three are older and have probably missed the boat now.

Wilson is 20 and needs to make an impact now or end up going the tom ince road

Karius was awful when he was installed as first choice keeper so i don't buy this in and out of the team rhythm malarkey. What you are right about is that he is relatively young so as and Reina was awful when he first came (crosses wise anyway) and had the odd howler in him before he went world class. So maybe you are right Karius just needs a bit of time

De Gea was always decent and just got an unfair rep with the media. His aerial ability wasn't brilliant but wasn't terrible.

Don't remember any criticism of Lloris at all.

De Gea made a lot of errors and was easily bullied. The media laid into him, similarly for Karius - difference is Fergie persisted with him and he grew in confidence. Karius was taken out.

I don’t mind us selling Karius but I think he needs a proper run of games before we write him off. Especially when you see other **** players in our team who constantly get to play week in week out.

Fergie rotated De Gea with another young keeper, can't remember his name though

He joined around 2011 and played around 40 games in all comps. He was given a good run to develop.

I think it sends a bad message when we sign talented young players and they’re bombed out quickly and not given a good chance.

What are the actual chances of

1. Goretzka on a free, I mean really?

2. Giminez also on a free. Is this possible?

3. Vvd... I mean it's not likely if we got the other lad for free no?

Also has anything come up about Kevin danso? He's 6'3" and playing for Augsburg and is 19. Austrian international..... He is a dcm or cb

Have to disagree. The pundits just wanted to have a pop at him because he was new and he cost a lot. I remember him making quite a few outstanding saves and occasionally he would push it out (done brilliant to make a save) then someone would score from the rebound and it was his fault. On crosses he was very average and as you say weak at times but you could see from the outstanding stops he was different class.

On the other hand we have Courtois who was amazing at commanding his box. He doesn't do that half as well now since he made a few mistakes in joses 3rd season. Still pretty good but before he would claim everything.

That's the one <cheers>

In fairness I think in 2012/13 they got shut of kuszack or however you spell it and Ferguson did give games to both de gea and this guy.

I looked and lindegaard got 10 league games, I cantrecall if there were Injuries or it was managing a young player.

Aggression in a midfielder is good, but it has to be controlled aggression, otherwise we'll be down to 10 too often.

Yeah, it's really about what klopp describes as someone daring to come and Rob your points. Are you going to allow them steal the food for you mouth. No, you smash them.

It's business.

Or get your retaliation in first per souness etc.

Whilst Karius has made errors, there are parallels - he’s made some big saves for us and you can argue he got us a point against Sevilla.

Like I say, he may not be long term Answer but there is potential so I rather give him a proper go in goals.

True, but we miss the Mascherano and Gerrard take no prisoners style at times. Yes they may get a red card or two each season, but the team benefits from it as the lead and take no sh!t. We are stuck currently with a midfield selection of Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum and Milner, who aside from being average have no leadership and no steel to their game and teams just walk through us. Hopefully Keita goes some way to solving this.

Lot of teams are after goretzka so will be tough - can only hope that the German link will be crucial.

No idea about Gimenez - hopefully money talks! (As long as city Chelsea united and other wealthier clubs come in).

Gimenez plays on the right and VVD on the left.

Tbh Jimmy and this is not personal but the guy is very unimpressive. I've watched him warm up etc and he is the most lackadaisical guy ever.

I think he's got talent but the attitude isn't there imo.

Having said that brad Jones looked brill warming up, his distribution warming up was amazing and then in a game you couldn't even dare pass it to him cos he was a turd on the ground. <laugh>

I'm not saying we don't want a more aggressive midfield - far from it - I'm just speculating that maybe Klopp won't risk Grujic because he thinks he's too reckless.
Like Moreno. That's why we never play hi.....
Oh, hang on....

Thry both fit the bill in every way, fees, age, position etc etc.

We'll need to compliment them with solid proven English players to show then the ropes though...
