No surprise Saints would be happy to accept £70m for VVD. No defender was worth it and they really should have taken the money and re-invested in some creativity and strikers in hindsight.

yup. I agree. cut own throats. 70mil for an injured player rheyve had to nurse back for some ego trip at board level while they appoint a guy who looks like he's not working out on the basis that the guy in job wasn't popular enough despite getting to a final and finishing 8th in league which is higher than they deserve.
what happened? 14 and sliding downwards and the player the ego trip was over has maybe halved in value.
