My problem with leaving all the transfers to the last minute is that they're not going to have any time to integrate with the club. They're not going to have a summer to gel with each other and learn Klopp's plans.

I know we were waiting until we beat the Hoff, but it's rather unfortunate timing to start out summer transfer window.

Anyway just read the actual transfer on skysports and BBC, it's pretty clear you've signed him for next year irrespective of what happens to him this year. So it's not an option, just a forward contract. Case close. Next

I don't know what to believe about what our budget was pre Couthino. If we are to believe everything we read (I know!! <doh>), the VvD and Keita deals were to be financed without the sale of Couthino.

That would mean that we would/could have the entire Couthino money to reinvest. Unlikely.

In any event, I will fill my time speculating on who we will buy with this unlikely windfall.

I'd start with Gabbiadini and Bertrand from Southampton just to freak the f#ckers out <laugh>

Draxler, Max Meyer, seasegnon....

And to top it off, Aubameyang <ok>

TBF, I think the plan was to get VVD and Keita in before the qualifier. The rumour I've heard to explain the last minute splurge of seemingly infinite funds is that FSG have sold the club to a richer than rich Arab, but they don't want to announce it until the 1st September so as not to encourage ever-more ludicrous price hikes on our targets.

I started this rumour. :emoticon-0111-blush
