Sky just had a reporter from Germany reckoning the Keita fee £60+ m which is more like what i assumed the premium would be. More worryingly he thought that the deal has to be concluded even if Keita gets badly injured which is seriously worrying.

to be honest, i'm not sure what premium they are planning on charging, but its definitely not the option that Milk things they have sold. What would be the point in that as they miss out on the guaranteed money. It doesn't make any sense financially

That's standard. He's ours now and effectively on loan. If you buy a player and in a year he gets injured you don't get to sell him back. But if he's injured at RB then their insurance covers the costs.

Makes sense. We can't have our cake and eat it. He's effectively our player now, we're in balls deep <ok>

its all about saving face mate.

if they wanted money they would have taken it in july.

They wanted him for cl and then got a strop on so this is saving their racist DoF some face and red bull too.

its makes zero sense financially from where they knew his contract was. i can understand trying to oferr him a new one to fix that but it was clear he was never signing anyhting. they lost 15mil IMO... all to save face

Like astro said we have effectively loaned the player back to Leipzig. If something happens to him, too bad although our insurance should cover the costs. Leipzig has obviously struck gold. They keep a top player for one year and keep him to play in the CL. They are guaranteed £60m without any risks that the player might lose his value through injury.

first off... no rejection notice from Monaco really... we are waiting word on Lemar. time is ticking on the international camp he is on.

second off... the van dijk stuff is mad.. its just a lot of morons being silly now. if a deal happens its up to saints. the money is on the table.

Third off.. coutinho... its just like a clogged drain backing up now. the last few turds are surfacing relating to the story before the thing drains away.

Not rewlly, if he helps them get CL again this year then that £15m loss will be coveted by the £50m CL money.

If we don't buy they keep the player (which is what they want) or sell the player next summer for the release fee anyway and keep the £3 mill we gave them.

Oh yeah i know that they've lost out on what they were going to make this summer.

Milk reckons that you guys have bought Keita an option whereby you pay a few million now and buy him at the release clause but WITHOUT the obligation i.e. if for whatever reason you don't want to buy him say cause hes paralysed, then you don't have to buy him.

For a few million i'm pretty sure they wouldn't put themselves in such a disadvantaged position but what do i know
