Many teams have loaned players with a promise to buy at the end of the loan for years and years, it's normal accepted practice.
So its normal for a club to loan their best player to their main title rivals?
FFP was set up to keep clubs spending within their means, means being the money the club generates and not some wealthy backer who could just **** off at any time and thus send the club into a financial meltdown.
Fact is PSG have the money to buy him this summer (and more so) but can't buy him because they would breach FFP. So they've concocted a loan to buy in order to get around FFP through sheer force of money.
Not at all, I am just pointing out that clubs have done it for years, why else would they pay a loan fee knowing full well they had to pay the purchase fee 12 months later.

PSG didn't invent/find this and Monaco are more than willing to go with it because they are getting a loan fee on top of the purchase fee.
If you don't like the fact that a club (PSG) have the money/clout to do this, fair enough, but don't make out they are bad guys finding new ways to break the law.
Never said they were breaking FFP, they're cheating it, finding ways around it and bending it to their will. PSG have the money but can't spend it without repercussions, so they've found a way around it by loaning a player who they could clearly buy if ffp didn't exist.
Also there is no loan fee mentioned, just a final purchase price next summer, so Monaco are going to get jack **** or potentially nothing worth the value of the player (if they do get something this year) until next summer and still lose Mbappe to the main league rival.
The main point was that FFP is ineffective and all it has done is re-enforce the big European clubs with lots of money position at the top of the tree.
Also that it was Platini's idea to stop new oil rich clubs and sugar daddy clubs from just buying short term success at the expense of long term stability, ie the Citehs and PSG's of football. Hows it working this summer?
I suppose we will find out in a few years if they cant afford the wages eh.
FFP was never meant to stop clubs buying players with big price tags, it was meant to stop clubs loading themselves with unsustainable debt as in, buying players whose purchase price you could afford at that point but offering wages to many that would stretch your income beyond serviceable in the future.

Crazy but each club to their own. Psg want to be the best club in the world and happy to by big to do it. Madrid did it 20 years ago, nothing against psg doing it. Only issue is inflating transfer prices but that's been going on last 15 years really.

Forward - Sadio Mane (Liverpool)
Those of you who regularly read my team of the week will know how much I think of Mane's Liverpool team-mate Philippe Coutinho. However, with Mane looking so impressive at the moment it makes you wonder why Liverpool are deliberating over Coutinho's proposed move to Barcelona.
It seems to me that Mane is the perfect replacement to take over from the Brazilian as Liverpool's main man, never mind that £100m-plus is simply too good to turn down for any player, never mind one who only cost you £8.5m in the first place.
Liverpool are a wonderful club with a magnificent stage and they are very capable of finding another Coutinho. In fact, I already think they have one and his name is Sadio Mane.
Forward - Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
I saw this lad play for Chelsea and I got the distinct impression that he was certainly good enough, but I think the move came a tad too soon and he wasn't given enough time to make an impact.
Coming to terms with a big stage is one thing but when that club is fighting on all fronts you have to hit the floor running. His time with Roma, however, gave him the chance to grow as a footballer in readiness for the challenges ahead.
Liverpool has come at the right time for Salah. He is an exciting player with bundles of ability. He also quick with an eye for goal, a point that was rammed home when the Egypt international robbed Hector Bellerin of the ball on Sunday while still in his own half, ran half the length of the pitch and still no-one in the Arsenal team could catch him. Then, without even breaking stride, he coolly stroked the ball past a helpless Petr Cech.
Salah's arrival on to the scene at Anfield is further proof that the deal for Coutinho is simply too good to turn down - so get on with it.
So apparently if someone bids £101m for Messi or Ronaldo, Garth thinks it can't be turned down.
Second problem is Barcelona have bid nowhere near £100m anyway.
So how about you 'get on with' having a clue?

Although the PSG deal for Mbappe means they avoid any penalty, they will be in the same position next year once they pay for him. Were will it end, could a club sign a player on loan for two or three years having agreed to buy him at the end of the loan? How many clubs would want to wait that amount of time to get money for them to find a replacement
