Not true, if it's actually proven that they DID agree a contract with him personally, even if it was through an agent. Just as Liverpool were 'unlucky' to be caught out for doing what everyone does, so Barca, if proven, are still breaking FIFA laws (certainly Ford and his agent are) if they're discussing terms without LFC's permission.Surprised you didn't know that.

I accept that what I pointed out that media reports (Catalan ones) had alleged -a CONTRACT- had been agreed would be impossible to prove unless Barca, Ford or Kia decide to shoot themselves in the foot and admit it. BUT, it is illegal (probably in contract civil law too if it's in Ford's LFC contract). Everyone does it (doubtless we did with VVD and Keita), just like meeting players. That wasn;t the point though, was it? You're claiming you can do it, pretend it was something else and use the agent as a human shield who is somehow indemnified in the whole process. He's not, and neither are the other parties.

You mean hypothetically speaking, like it a manager and chairman book a private jet and let's say they fly to Amsterdam to meet a contracted player in a restaurant and discuss terms and offer him a contract without his club's knowledge?

Remember, it was his family member (dad) who said all that stuff about Klopp and Suarez and Gerrard saying Liverpool don't let their best players go on good terms. Cannot believe that was without Ford's full support, even though it has the black fingerprints of Kia and Barca all over it. Wonder how much retainer Ford's dad was on for all this, btw?
