Now lads... do you not think poor jermaine was fed a bunch of crap to comment on? Or do you think he was just using the same twisted logic jamie redknappwas on when he was saying saints should sell vvd despite having no offers.

The only difference between us and Southampton is we have 3 faxed jokes from Barca. They don't even have one but are so desperate they are shouting he's not for sale at passers by.

Not really. Barca could afford the relatively lower fee for paulinho and got summon cheap wages too..he adds nothing to their team.

As I say Astro, because this bloke is personable and can string a reasonable sentence together (okay, unusual for most pundits in the post Hansen era) the Beeb are really pushing him as some sort of intelligenstia. He is as thick as Shearer though, but just younger with more hair.

****ing Redknapp is only a pundit as he's female bait, and I suspect that is what the BEEB are grooming Jenas to be their answer to. Even Redknapp's own father said that Jamie can barely read or write. Cretin.
 
Maybe (and this'll raise a hackle or two), Astro has been right all along about Barca being on a structural and financial precipice. God, wishful thinking, but I ****ing hope so.
 
Ah **** it, been waiting for the big Couthinho unveiling at the Nou Camp which was promised for friday, thought I'd give them an a hour or so into Saturday just in case his plane arrived late but nothing online about the big event.

They must have meant next Friday.

As I understand the offer was worse than we thought, being said that £80m starting price spread over 5 years! Add-ons included Barca winning the CL plus other trophies, with the standard goals and games add-ons and then Coutinho receiving Ballon d'or nominations.

So the £114m is bullshit as we'd never see a large chunk of it or if we did it'd be years off, not to mention that Barca would only give us £16m a year (probably spread in monthly instalments) for 5 yrs. £16m a year is chump change to a PL club.

A while back I thought we should sell if Barca offered the money up front, pay the majority in a lump sum with a small amount of add-ons, but this just seems insulting. PSG had to pay the £200m all in one go, so Barca have the money and paying piecemeal like they've offered seems cheap. Now I say **** em. No sale too late now, come back next June.
