Just had a look, your 3 fastest players [last season] Lukaku, Deulofeu, Valencia, - where are they now

Seeing as you mentioned them - Spurs 3 fastest: Walker [one of the fastest in the league] Janssen, Wanyama - who were both faster than your fastest last season. I'd be a bit worried about the lack of pace. Credit to you for strength in depth this window but overall doesn't look like a team to worry the top 4 at all. As I said time will tell.

Deulofeu didn't play for us last season JB, Valencia was a bench warmer.

Janssen barely played for Spuds, and if Wanyama is their 3rd fastest player then you've just emphasised my point mate

Deulofeu and Valencia both played games for you last season and were clocked as your 2nd 3rd fastest players - doesn't say much for the rest of them Same with Janssen. I guess you watched all Spurs games then

Both were rapid but one went to Milan and the other barely started a game. Our main pace came from Rom, Seamus and Mirallas, with Davies and Lookman both adding pace when they got into the side.

I saw plenty of Spurs game, no idea what relevance that is like, as Wanyama is in no way fast, and you said he was their 3rd quickest player.

The game isn't all about headless chickens and heavy metal football btw mate

I was just saying who the fastest players were, not how many games they played. You've lost all your fastest players, which was the point I was making. You have no pace in the team.

Wanyama isn't quick, the fact that he was their third fastest player merely emphasises my original point and the reason I mentioned them ffs

Going to have to disagree with you here.

Everton have some fast players, mirallas, lookman, coleman and lennon. Think gueye looks pretty quick too. The problem for everton is that they arent first team players or are out long term and none of them are in the key skill positions where pace has the most inpact (the attacking positions). So its not wrong to call everton slow.

As for spurs their team in general arent slouches but there isnt anyone pacy now they have sold walker and rose is permanantly crocked. Only son is pretty quick and maybe their walker clone.

Wanyana isnt very fast, or at least we never see it so if he is quick then his acceleration is going to be horrendous

The site I was looking at had the actual speeds listed not just who was fastest. I don't personally have an opinion on it, if you posted a picture of Wanyama I wouldn't even recognise him

As you know I only tend to watch Liverpool these days so players I see twice a season don't always register. Just by the by, Robertson was Hull's fastest player

A fair assessment that. Spurs move the ball quickly and can cut sides apart without having individuals with seering pace.

We've looked pedestrian in pre season, as our movement and speed of passing hasn't been sharp enough. As that side gels they'll move the ball quicker. The major issue with the squad is a lack of a focal point striker
