The ****er on Sky Sports who just creamed himself at the 'news' of Ford's supposed TR has just previewed the Watford game by saying 'And they'll be missing Coutinho who has a back injury and has just handed in a transfer request'. This whilst a banner runs underneath him saying that the PA report that Liverpool deny this. Remember yesterday and the absolute certainty that Kirsty Gallagher was stating as fact that Dembele was on a flight to Barcelona? You can tell this is part of the Murdoch empire.

Anyway, as I was saying to Tobes and JOL yesterday, what difference does it make IF Ford puts in a TR? I would have expected that IF LFC were selling they'd have insisted on it anyway, as they did with Torres. But now Sky are getting defensive and quoting family members (his dad, undoubtedly) they're obviously reacting to LFC's denial. Point is, again, what is the difference though? There's nothing here that Luis didn't do at all.
Sky should have their sources lined up and openly present them before putting things like this out, but of course sports journalism doesn't work like that. Just be first to get out any rumour in case there's anything in it, is their only motivation. Do they ever show any remorse when they get thing spectacularly wrong? Of course not - and they know that the internet will spread it immediately and that people will start to believe it because of its ubiquity.
Like I've said all along, wait and see - there's no point in believing anything the sports press say.

Then also accept VVD isn't for sale?

You. JOL and Tobes have asked me this 9 trillion times in the last week - YES! The situation with VVD is that we've withdrew interest unless or until Soton allow us to bid. End of story. If you're looking for hypocrisy here you're targeting the wrong poster feller.

Amicable to him, Barca and his agent.<laugh>

I'll not turn against Phil though, just as we never turned on Luis. This is the way Barca do business, and again, what I ****ing hate them and why we must stand firm (unless they really do throw £135m CASH at us, and JK is totally happy with it). Otherwise, lessons must be learned, and, as I even said yesterday before this all broke, it's bigger than the player now, even if he feigns ****ing injury all season (unlikely in a WC year).

The cash is no good to us though Donga, not enough time to spend it on a quality replacement, because if he does end up going there's still gonna be mucho time consuming wrangling and negotiating.

The money would end up in the Bank of America gathering interest for 9 months due to Klopp not being a fan of the winter transfer window.

Really nothing to do with the player now. It's, to quote Shawshank: telling Barca that anything that goes in our mouth won't come back out....

BTW, that statement by his dad to Sky about nobody leaving Liverpool amicably, and quoting Luis and Gerrard - if that's true, Luis is a ****ing liar. True, we stopped him in 2013, but our only issue in 2014 was that his ****ing antics in the WC we're making it impossible to get the full release clause of £75m for him. When Alonso went, most blamed Rafa, not him. Torres and Gerrard? True, but they were going to Prem opponents. No club, except Everton selling to their parent club Uniturd, does that without hostility of some sorts.

To be honest I never really accepted him fully after he got the hump after we didn't let him go to Arsenal.

Great player but not loyal.

No I didn't ...

You mean FSG not wanting to spend it

So we are still no clearer if he is really injured or not? There maybe something in the Torres and Gerrard comment as its believed Liverpool forced Torres to hand in a transfer request didn't Miereiles come out with something similar when he went to Chelsea

I always expected him to go every summer after the Evra business. Dalglish and the players supported him, but after making big noises and threatening the FA with lawyers, FSG shrunk away when the English media outright threatened to destroy the FSG worldwide brand if they didn't bend the knee. But no Latin Americans are 'loyal' anyway. They witter on about their dreams to play for barca and Real, but now PSG are richer...

Same as when Roman took over Chelsea, and City with the Arabs.
