Just out of interest mito how does feigning a back injury mean he's after a move? I know players feign injury to avoid international friendlies but what logic is there in the Coutinho 'injury'?

So he didn't need to play in the friendly and potentially the start of the season (if hes still injured). That way he can't get properly injured affecting his move to Barca (not that i believe this but thats why you'd feign an injury)

Same thing happens in tennis with sleeve sponsors but the player will be getting that money right? In football the club benefits surely like with the main shirt sponsor with logos on the front of the shirt. They're far more distracting imo.
My view is this.
1. LFC have form for this kind of thing. Carroll is one example. we all knew there wasn't a thing wrong with him but to avoid press conference questions it was called an injury. we have CL play off coming and watford. klopp can't avoid these questions there.
2. He's our biggest star. i watched the crowds in asia go absolutely nuts for him.. absolutely crazy for a glimpse and a goal. Last weekend we got in to that stadium and saw the 125 year video on loop for a good half hour. he is all over it. legends and coutinho.. not legends and this four bunch of nobodies
he's barely anywhere on the lfc merchandise right now.
Just little things..... In my view the actual story is barca are leaking offers in the media but they are all add ons, not straight cash and i think LFC are only holding out for the hard cash deal here.

Hopefully, losing Coutinho will be like when we lost Torres and got Suarez, rather than when we lost Suarez and got Balotelli and Lambert.
I see the logic in that if you're a willing seller, protect the player but it's the opposite with us and Coutinho so no logic in that at all.

Or if the player feigns injury because HE wants to move.. We did the same with when we had to dump Costa for 1 game when he wanted to move to china. He pretended he had a back injury.
Just putting a hypothetical in there as i don't think coutinhos the type to make up an injury not to play
