A) This time last year Klopp said if players only wanted to join for CL then we weren't interested!

Oh how times change (if that is the case)...

Not sure I trust anyone at our club these days, far too much cryptic bullshit for my liking!
Totally agree

I know he said that last year but think he realising that we need quality, not quanity, i also think he is relatively happy with the squad. If he is - i will trust him :)

We could offer Mousa Sissoko a home, should be free :)

Up until January we were very good, only Chelsea winning 10 on the bounce had more points than us.

that would suggest we have the players, but lack depth. A few quality additions is definitely the way to go.

And to be fair - we can't MAKE Rb sell their best player, the reported bids are double what we've ever dreamt of spending so I won't be distraught if that doesn't happen.

Klopp will stick with his stance of not buying for the sake of it, and ultimately IMO that is for the best.

Does that mean ignoring a problem just because we can't buy the first player on the wanted list? So because we can't get hold of VvD or Keita we just don't bother with addressing those two areas?

imo the defence and midfield are weak. Too many similar players in midfield and a crock of ****e in defence (bar Matip). And with strengthened rivals you can kiss goodbye to a repeat of CL the following season.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to move for Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse.

Kruse only joined the club in August and it remains to be seen if he will move on so soon.

Liverpool remain keen on signing midfielder Naby Keita but RB Leipzig do not want to sell, says Bryan Swanson

I hope not, you'd think other players have been identified. But it does mean we stop having to start again every season and don't end up with panic buys sitting on 100k+ a week for 4 years and offering very little

Five alternatives to Naby Keita as RB Leipzig tell Liverpool £70million-rated star is not for sale
Jurgen Klopp has so far endured a frustrating transfer window despite signing three players already and is in the market for a new midfielder

Goretzka and Seri would be the 2 that I'd want.

With the 70mil Keita money we could probably land either... and have some change.

I just hope if we bid 70mil and get a knock back we forget about Keita and move on.

Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk has not handed in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move to Liverpool, according to Daily Echo.

Reports had claimed that Van Dijk had spoken to Southampton in a bid to secure a summer transfer, with Liverpool his preferred destination.

But Southampton remain determined to hold on to the Dutch centre-half, who has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Arsenal were thought to be closing in on Feyenoord prospect Joshua Zirkzee, but reports claim that the youngster has travelled to Liverpool instead of London.
According to SoccerNews.nl, Arsene Wenger’s men were favourites to snap up the highly-rated 16-year-old, but the same publication have later reported Zirkzee had landed at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, sparking suggestions the young striker could be on his way to Ronald Koeman’s Everton or Klopp’s Liverpool instead of the Emirates
