Looks like Robertson is going to happen then. Don't mind him as understudy but an understudy to Milner isn't ideal. Klopp clearly thinks we can get by this season and has other more pressing issues like CM and CB which wants to concentrate on first before working on the wide roles afterwards.

Time for Sturridge to give something back, though I will be surprised if he is not on the sideline by August 12
It's raining on tour...i predict an injury in the upcoming match lol.

Although yet again PL clubs risking their players on rubbish pitches in monsoon season all to chase the mighty dollar. No good to us if half the team miss actual games through injury!

They're an odd bunch on that board. Paranoid and bitter as **** <laugh>

Must say, was speaking to some Soton fans both before and after the second leg of the LC outside the Anny Rd end. Really sound (even accounting for the pathological hatred of Lovren).

That said, injuries notwithstanding, I reckon playing LB to accommodate McAteer wasted the talents of Rob Jones. I still think Milner can be a workhorse when needed in midfield, as opposed to a makeshift LB.

I remember at the time of salah signing someone said it was the most drawn out transfer sage ever and I thought it was a bit of an exaggeration.

After seeing how long it's taken to sign an absolute journeyman out of hull... well if someone were to say it i might just agree with them.

Have we been using carrier snails to communicate with hull?

oh and....

Keita trains with Leipzig ahead of friendly
That looks like Naby Keita in the picture on the left, to me.

If so, he is training in an open training session as we speak, and could turn out for Leipzig in a friendly this evening.

......

hmmmm... thursday.... hmmmm... not this thursday anyway.

Still we did almost bid on a left full we've been working on trying to convince to join us for 6months by offering to double his wages and he is still reluctant. maybe by next week will will convince the guy he can get iro bru and all the piss up he can handle this far south :)

He's hardly a journeyman in fairness

But you've been linked with him all summer, like you say why not just go and buy him?

i was surprised we didn't buy him in Jan tbh.
Only theories i can come up with are
a) JK is a bit meh on Robertson but will do if can't find better
b) Edwards too busy trying & failing to sign VVD & Keita

I Dont think sending them friend requests on FB constitutes as trying.
Although I doubt he has even thought that ambitiously yet!
