Rooney hasn't been played as a striker.

He has been played as a No.10 and in MF.

So £40+m for three more goals? You also have to ask, when you mention him anongst those names.....why isn't he at a club as big as those players current clubs?

3 more goals, probably like 11 more assists though :P

That is why he's getting his big move to Everton, the next stepping stone. Also all the other teams are well stocked in that position. It's like asking why Lukaku never got to move to a big club this season. If he was so good last season or the one before that he would have moved up from Everton :P.

So if you aren't part of the big 6, then you're **** are you? I bet you'd ecstatic to have a Mahrez or a VVD in your side

Walker is an average defender. Just very quick and strong, defensively his positioning is pretty poor

Defensively positioning he is poor but he's got much better recently under poch. He's a very athletic player though and in a wingback position where the onus isn't on defending i think he's one of the best. Him and Rose totally dominated us last season in the big game

Now Rose IS worth £50m, imo.

Mahrez, no ta. One season wonder.

VVD, not at the quoted price of £70m

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is now eligible to play with his team after his British visa has been finally confirmed.

Salah has joined the Reds from AS Roma earlier in the transfer window and has left the United Kingdom then returned back as part of the immigration process.

The winger has returned to Merseyside today after spending Wednesday in the British Embassy located in Paris in order to finalize the visa procedures.

Salah is now available for the club’s pre-season plans after missing his first match where Liverpool beat Tranmere Rovers 4-0 on Wednesday.

Liverpool are set to face Wigan Athletic in the DW Stadium on Friday meaning that Jurgen Klopp could hand Salah his debut in a Reds shirt.

Liverpool could make an offer for Atletico Madrid attacker Angel Correa, which could mean they’re looking at other targets to Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
  • Interest in Correa may mean they’re no longer looking to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain
  • Arsenal have been linked with Correa in the past

Sounds like too much effort, these mods are stubborn buggers.

tbh, pretty fed up with the whole transfer already

:) I may have preempted your question and got told..... meh... (summary)

If lfc fans stop mentioning rivals here then they'd not bring **** up in response. So discipline is needed.

A former football lawyer has claimed Liverpool have opened negotiations with Southampton over Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool made the Saints defender a top target earlier this summer before they were forced to cease and desist from their attempts to sign the centre-back after the south-coast club complained about a potential 'tapping up'.

Liverpool were forced to offer a hasty apology to Southampton following the complaint before the Premier League ruled they would be taking the matter no further .

France-based lawyer Daniel Vanderkamp worked alongside Liverpool during the deal to sign Christian Benteke from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015, and the South African has now claimed the Reds have held dialogue with Southampton over the transfer of their classy Dutch international.

Vanderkamp tweeted: "Got told things are moving along now with LFC and Southampton.

"I don't know if he's handed in a request, just that the clubs are back negotiating.

Got told things are moving along now with LFC and Southampton.

I don't know if he's handed in a request, just that the clubs are back negotiating. I don't think he will have to hand in a request either
