According to the Metro, Arsenal are reportedly lining up a sensational £80m deal for Sporting Lisbon duo William Carvalho and Gelson Martins.

Having already completed the signing of Kolasinac from Schalke last month, Arsenal are also close to completing the signing of Lacazette from Lyon in an attempt to win the Premier League next season.

William carvalho links are a feature of every window. He never moves.

Mergers was linked to us and now arsenal which for me suggests his agent is advertising he wants a move.

He'll move eventually. Eriksen and Torres both went several windows being linked left, right and centre before eventually moving to England.

My point would be his agent actively agitated every window.

Your point is entirely valid and Lacazette is a perfect example. He's been linked left and right for 4 years.

Liverpool could swoop in to snap up Nice defender Dalbert due to Inter Milan delaying due to the French club's asking price.

Nice want around the £26m mark for the left-back who has already apparently agreed to a five-year deal at the San Siro.

But Mercato365 say the delay has opened the door for the Reds.

Liverpool could use a left back, given they spent last year with James Milner admirably filling the role.

Aberto Moreno looks set to depart as well, so it could be money well spent.
 
Everton scout confident club will sign £20m Giroud
The Spanish giants are only offering £22m plus add-ons which is less than a THIRD of the £76m transfer fee offered by Chinese Super League club Tianjian Quanjian.
Costa’s representatives are due to hold talks with Chelsea later this week with the player due back next week but wants his future resolved this weekend

Giroud would be a good signing for Everton imo. Clearly won't get the goals of Lukaku, but is decent enough

I can see where you are coming from there. On the one hand there are possibly 3 buys we know about at 180mil or so that COULD happen. but then theres the thought that none of them will happen and we buy absolute trash like Robertson instead.

There is a third view I think. that the 3 positions could be addressed buy simply buying other people who could be very good indeed and we just have no idea who

Training starts again today. Massive disappointment in our incomings so far, Salah and a kid. We have some massive problem areas in our team and don't even seem to have started dealing with them. A left back should have been identified and a deal in place long before the season finished.

rooney is going there.

In reality giroud is a better player than many have rated him simply cos arsenal are not quite there for him. I'd go so far as to say giroud is a far superior finihser than lukaku.

that'd require competence though.

We made do by promoting edwards. he's doing the negotiations with absolutely no skill set to do them. Its actually quite amusing to watch form a distance.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to bolster his ranks as he bids to build a squad capable of coping with the dual demands of the Premier League and a potential Champions League campaign next season.

The German boss has already got his transfer business underway with the club-record signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma and the free transfer of Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.

But he has pinpointed the defence as a priority area for improvement and has earmarked Mammana as a possible target to replace Mamadou Sakho, who looks destined to leave Anfield.

And Sport Review claim the Kop boss has made an approach for the Lyon centre-back.

Liverpool are also apparently ready to offer him a five-year contract worth £2.8m-a-season, which will see him earn around £54,000-a-week.

But Sport Review say Mammana will not discuss personal terms with the Reds until an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.


Klopp ideally wants to get his transfer business done before the pre-season tour of Asia on July 19.

The Reds pipped Arsenal to the fourth and final Champions League spot last season.


But in order to reach advance to the group stages of the competition they must win a qualifier, which is due to be played in August.

Mammana signed for Lyon from River Plate last summer and made 17 Ligue 1 appearances in his debut season, scoring one goal.

He is contracted to Lyon until the summer of 2021.

This is the alternative to VVD guys. we can absolutely draw a line under that saga now.

BTW this guy is short and useless.... just so you know.. he is also injured... so he meets all the criteria to be a perfect buy for michael edwards and LFC.

To be fair, Klopp and the team have done well in identifying these players and convincing them to join. We are dealing with teams who don't want to sell. Wasn't going to be easy. I think VVD is announced when Soton sign a replacement.
