If he is really a £65-£70m player don't you think some big clubs would be looking at him and offering the wages that price tag should command?

If we're buying him for £65m-£70m then he's a £20m-£25m player at best

I see where you're coming from. But this might be the Same principle as last year with Pogba, no big club went in for him, yet utd paid a ridiculous amount and he clearly isn't worth it. I guess we should be more aware of this with Keita and pull out now

But would still want the wage to suit the price tag.
How would Coutinho and Firmino (among others) feel having just signed new contracts to find a CB is on much more than them.

he plays CM. and who cares? Hardly like Coutinho is hard up earning 180k a week. And Keita wouldn't be earning more than that if he came given he's prob on about 40k atm
