I defended the lad when he could run. Since his cruciate injury he's not been able to get about quite simple.

Would make sense if Lucas job was to run round and close down but it wasn't. He was playing CB and DM. It's all about positioning.

So you're saying Klopp sent him out at CB to run around like a headless chicken? Someone tried that with Luiz at CB... didn't work very well.
You will find as I've said.... and you know klopp only used him as his absolute last option at cb... and don't bring sahko I to it either.
If we had any option bar him we would use him.
As I said... and you've not denied once. The lad can't run. Hasn't been able to run for years.

And like I said, neither did Pirlo but didn't mean he couldn't play a role in the team like Lucas did. Whether it's last option or not, makes no difference. Still contributed to team making 4th.
