Begovic to Bournemouth.....good signing for them and presumably guaranteed the no.1 spot :emoticon-0126-nerd:

Yup. Another cool 15m pocketed by CFC. Good luck to Begovic. I thought he looked pretty decent at Stoke. Being on the bench hasn't helped him at all (like most players) but his level seemed to drop off alarmingly. He stopped pulling off worldies and in the past 2 seasons he just wasn't the same as he was at stoke (to be fair it was all MOTD highlights). The same happened to Cudicini who was great for us, then we benched him for Cech and he never looked the same for us or the Spuds.

David Wagner will speak to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp once the enormity of Huddersfield's promotion to the Premier League sinks in.

Wagner, a former reserve-team boss under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, has guided the Terriers back to the top flight for the first time in 45 years.

They did it the hard way, needing a penalty shoot-out to defeat Reading in the Championship play-off final following a goalless Wembley draw

Wagner seems a sound bloke. Certainly sounder that that **** Stam <laugh>

not official. Saw it in here near the bottom of the article

It is ridiculous price for a keeper whos been second choice and not played much but this is Bournemouth we are talking about. The new PL money is rolling in this summer and they did pay 15m for Ibe and 6m for Brad Jones!!.
Yeah, but we all felt slightly dirty over that. :)
On Cudicini, btw - I always thought he was too good to be sitting on anyone's bench, going on what I saw of him earlier on. A sad sign of the money-driven times, I suppose.

So we have missed out on Mendy to city and seemingly Sessengnon to Tottenham. We literally don't have a left back at the club, yet these players are going elsewhere. Looks like we will be going for 3rd or 4th choice then which is a shame.

well... now...

Mendy is completely left field rumour day 1 that none of us expected at all. Of course he's headed for city.

Sessengnon might be offered twice the money at 16 by spurs. I don't know. All we know is it aint happening. If spurs are just paying more fair enough but its a repeat of the delle alli debacle albeit of a lesser level

So you are basing your frustration on transfer rumors. You do realize there are more than two left backs in the market? Window is not even open ...

Take a chill pill and let Klopp do his thing

market is open but aside form that you are right. we will get what we get.

Would Clichy be the worst freebie to get if it was just for a year or two? He's better than Milner and if it means waiting a year or two for Klopp to find a player he really wants then maybe it'll be worth the wait?

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather get someone in this window that'll be good enough and here for the long run, but is Clichy really as bad as what he's being made out to be?

I actually reckon he'd be fairly solid. Unspectacular sort of signing. Sometimes has a brain fart but who doesn't. Doesn't attack very well though.

Not sure why he's being sniffed at in all honesty. He'd be an upgrade on Milner.

Then again there are far better left backs out there who will fit your style better.

Not really rumours. James Pearce said we had interest in both and have since missed out on them
