You're really splitting hairs there <laugh> And anyway Chalobah - who's now 22 btw a full 4 years older than TAA - hasn't even played a full game for you yet when TAA has.

Bottom line, your lad's only getting the same chance as ours despite being a lot older :p

Depending on which source you read you had 34-38 players on loan, season just gone - that's obscene. Youth development <laugh> - it's the 30 odd clubs who've taken them on that are developing them, not Chelsea <ok>

Sorry i didn't respond to this when i should as i don't want to seem to be ignoring you.

First quote i think is all in jest with the ages :). In any case Chalobah has started a full game. In any case that counts as important and full game else we should discounted most of coutinhos and lallanas since they don't finish half of their games :P

second quote... i was just pulling our favourite wumasters leg (and no that isn't astro).

Always enjoy the exchanges with you, you're a good poster even if you do support a plastic club :p

Yup, and this was discussed at length as to what Liverpool do as well (well in the cases of Ward and Kent). Seems like the Chelsea pioneering way is being replicated across the top 6

Dont want to go over old ground but you can't seriously compare us signing Ward and Kent as young players and developing them on loan to you signing KDB, Lukaku, Courtois, Zouma, Marin... you signed those guys for £10m plus compared to Ward and Kent that were pennies.

Its like someone signing Mbappe for £100m and claiming they developed him just cos he played some games for them before he's 20! Or City claiming they developed Jesus despite signing him for £20m.

Just want to point out Ryan Kent has been lfc kid since age 7.

Ward we signed but I was only pointing out he was given opportunity

8.30pm: Leon Osman thinks Jamie Vardy would be a good signing for Liverpool.

Daniel Sturridge has struggled with injury at Anfield and has been linked with a move away this summer.

And Osman believes Leicester star Vardy would be a good replacement
Leon Osman is a bitter blue that hates Liverpool.

Too late for Vardy, missed his big chance with Arsenal last summer. Age is against him and Leicester would demand too much, anything over £20m wouldn't represent value for money.

Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Reds to offer former Manchester City star Gael Clichy a two-year contract?
