Cameron Brannagan got five starts last season and came off the bench a further four, but he’s fallen down the pecking order this term with the likes of Ovie Ejaria, Gini Wijnaldum and Marko Grujic ahead of him.
The youngster has not featured once in 2016/17 and is heading to League One side Bolton Wanderers for a loan stint as a result, the Echo has confirmed.

His comments on the presser were clear. if they buy nobody its not cos they don't see that LFC need players.

i would actually call foul but for the fact that the chinese seem to love Brazilian players. otherwise there is a stench of a favour being done.

this is a complete nonsense link. a sunderland rag thinks it knows what LFc would do for a newkie buy... wow... to put gomez in when he's playing 45mins only in u23s is ultra silly and shows how weak the story is.

Ojo would not get a game at nekie cos he's also not fit enough.

It's not complete nonsense, it's a Sunderland rag wumming Newcastle fc lol.

They know as much as everyone else, just using the situation to their advantage to deflect where each club is, esp the crap situation Sunderland are in at mo.

well yeah ok if wumming is not nonsense. My point would be us LFC fans should be able to see from our end its horse manure. newkie fans i suppose could swallow it and wonder if anyone of that lot are available.

Lets be honest.. are we missing him (will say, I like the lad, think he could/should be a special player!)
He's not bagged a single PL goal and we're still the leagues top scorers!
Phil coming back will coincide with Mane going to the ACoN, means we'll most likely be playing a front 3 of Phil, Bob and Big Div..
Mane comes back, then he's gonna take Big Div's place (or Bobs, or neither one's if both are playing well).
That leaves Sturridge further down the pecking order.
Given the comments made in the past and a couple of weeks ago by Klopp on Sturridge, you get the impression that, regardless of how good he is, he's lost patience with him not being available and to an equal extent, not really working in a Klopp system.
Doubt he goes in Jan, but I'd be very surprised to see him play for us at the start of the 17/18 season.
