Feel bad for Markovic - he is perfect for Klopp, and Klopp would certainly know how to get the best out of him.

Conflicting reports. I presume we can but we'd have to pay and the other team would have to agree to it.

Anyone know how he's actually getting on? Are they playing him, has he done much to warrant a return?

    #16086
  7. There is no release clause. However, the two clubs could agree a deal to cut it short but I guess it would have to be done in the January window.

Can only give the stats: 8 games, 0 goals, 0 assists

Doesn't sound wonderful, but those stats could be deceptive. Anyone actually watch Turkish football?

I don't rate the kid, but for us to stick him playing in the Turkish league was a ridiculous decision. Should have been kept in the premier league, or at least one of the main leagues. Absolutely pointless him being out there, heck the reserves would probably benefit him more.

  10. Moreno looked shocking until Klopp turned up.

Most were scapegoating Lallana until Klopp turned up.

    Markovic...?

He was inconsistent. Capable of good games and bad games. Calling him shocking is unfair.

Markovic deserves a chance. He has had only one really good game and that was against Bournemouth last season in the cup.

Remember the stick Lucas was getting in his younger days, but he matured into a great player, then had a bad injury unfortunately.

thats because once upon a time we had the best midfield, and however much people want to argue lucas simply wasn't good enough, and simply over time our standards have lowered and we now consider him a good acceptable standard of player.

not saying hes ****e by any stretch, but from what we got used to to what we have now is a huge gap.

I appreciate he is not of the class of Souness, MacDermott, Callaghan, Gerrard, Alonso, etc. The point I was making is that he improved as he got older and more experienced in the premiership, as I believe Markovic and also Origi will. I have little hope for Lovren though, although I thought he was going to be a good signing based on his Saints performances.

  16. Nope. He couldn't defend for **** and he looked even worse going forward.

We definitely need to strengthen in defence. If we get injuries in the full positions we basically have no one to replace them with.

Markovic has played well in turkey but injuries haven't helped.

I'd say that full back position is important and we need cover. Enrique is practically gone, Randall can't defend, not seen enough of Brad smith. Flanno doesn't have the pace or ability to support the attack.

We need like for like replacements for Moreno and Clyne
