which should have been spent on one good striker in early july last year... not what was done. everyone at anfield had time and info to hand what was going to happen and they triggered both signings after suarez deal was done.

    Its a sackable offense imo.

Look at spurs today after bale... wasted most of it.. we did do a spurs exactly as the wums... or should i say rival fans who called it like it was told us.

spurs are way way off where they were when arsneal celebrated scraping 4th and we all laughed Arsenal have strengthened year on year while spurs have gone on the slide.

Lfc.... spend a lot but the only difference is we are not on third different manager...

  10. Possibly but depends who's fault it was. Maybe the committee and Brod couldn't find a solution between Sanchez and Balotelli!

    Same old recycled argument.
We couldn't get our first choices for a variety of reasons- all of which have been talked over ad nauseam. A new example doesn't alter the principle.

    dunno.

but nobody can tell me the money and wages were not there to pay "someone"

neither can anyone deny it was directly responsible for our fall from grace and an embarrassment of a CL campaign.

if we'd had a reliable striker having scraped to 62 points who's to say we could not have worried utd who fell over the line with 70points eh?

    not really

lambert was bought before world cup therefore I saw him at the time as plan C. a sub to throw on to rest SAS on 70 mins when we were winning 6-4

  14. You're trying to convince the converted <laugh> I am convinced we'd have done much better had we gone and bought two quality strikers with the Suarez money. The money and wages probably were there but the agreement within the transfer committee obviously wasn't.

  15. But as you already claimed, we knew Suarez was going a long time before he actually went.

Looks like moved on from Berahino then. Not sure how happy he'll be about that after handing in transfer request, almost burnt his bridges at WBA.

See Everton have signed CB from some Argentinian club. Replacement for Stones?

I didn't claim that at all.

Us fans knew someone would want him but the club clearly didn't decide to do anything until he bit an italian.... we were following a pre planned strategy with lambert, loven and lallana as all were known and heavily linked etc prior to WC.

  19. He blow up those bridges last January!

    #14639
  20. Pretty sure you did...

You didn't say this bit at first. However, since you now have I'll address it by saying the club were stupid and naive if they thought Suarez wouldn't go.
