I saw this one too. If there's any fee involved and wages paid great. If not it is good for squad morale. Enrique and borini take note. Just get a loan.. play... You'll be retired a long long time and will regret it.

cos he's not that rated by real.. why else is is name constantly in the papers if not for an agent or Real putting it in there. they have signed kovacic too...
Glad you said that because there's a misconception that he can't pass the ball. He's not one to play raking long balls ala Alonso but his passing his simple and effective. However, what makes him so good is his defensive ability. The 2nd best DM in the league after Matic. We definitely won't be in for him because he's not a Rodgers type of midfielder but he's exactly what we need. Him and Can in a midfield 2 would boss the league in a few years.
you could say lucas was simple and effective too... simple and effective is one thing... who he gives it to is another. matci has fabregas, pedro..<oaugh> Willian and hazard... wanyama has nobody to pass it to now does he?
I was thinking similar. We have plenty who are capable of simple and effective passing that can also offer something defensively; Lucas, can, Hendo, Allen, etc. He didn't really sell Wanyama did he
My friend have a ticket for me but have to be in "HOME" side, the other time I did it was not comfortable. I asked him to give the ticket to another friend who is a goner.
Yes - Lucas's passing is quite underrated but that's not where the difference between the two players lie. Wanyama is a natural DM and is quality in that role. Lucas isn't.
Taking a dead mate might cause a stir though mate, unless he's in an urn, in which case it's probably a waste of a seat...
So we're finally close to getting rid of Mario - shame it's a loan. hopefully Borini buggers off as well.
I hate the fact that we struggle to sell the 'non-world class' players. We seem to always end up loaning them out.
Wanyama, good, solid DM, it pains me to do this, but I agree with Jimmy.. Him in our side, sitting behind the likes of Hendo/Can/Milner and in front of the defence would be great.. but if he really wants to leave and Southampton sell, I could see him going to Arsenal. he'd get CL footie and he'd solve one of their needs too...
