He's still a very good player just doesn't suit United and LvG's #hoofball tactic.

He'll move on and be a brilliant player again like he was at Madrid.

Its not like he took a step up and didn't perform like many, he's taken a step down in terms of clubs and maybe playing with players not as good as he was used to hasn't helped him.

Neither. If the transfer is true then it shows his heart was always at PSG. He couldnt make the move last summer but has managed it now. If the price is as quoted I'm not too fussed.

I think he would go on to have a good 2nd season with us if he stays. But if he leaves we wont really miss him either.

On a side point, I'm surprised players choose to go to PSG. I can understand the money or the city being the attraction but I cant see them achieving much in the foreseeable future.

PSG are probably better placed than any other club outside the big 3 (Bayern, Real & Barca) to challenge for the CL.

May have been a tad of a wind up <whistle>

but it it's actually true. The football you lot played at the start of the season suited him and he performed, no coincidence that as soon as fellaini became the main source of attack his form dipped.

And are you suggesting that last year you were above or the same level as Madrid?

Lots of cash. Nice city, guaranteed at least 2 domestic trophy each year, playing in CL every year.

More appealing than United or Liverpool at the moment is say.

Seems pretty spot on. He was fantastic for you guys when he first joined scored aome fabulous goals (that chip) and some great assists to persie.

Then van gaal implemented his structured static team and hoofball to felleini. He also got robbed and from then on it was downhill for di maria

Totally true. More dosh more freedom to play not playing under van gaal the dictator. Guarantees of trophies and dark horses for cl.

I dont think so. They play some nice football but I see them as a collection of individuals with a weak underbelly. They'll get to last 16 or Q/F most seasons but will always crumble when they come up against one of the top 4 or 5 sides.

Bisc is right in saying he didn't take a step up going from RM to MU. Like it or not, that is a step down these days

I think they've been really unfortunate last few years. Lost to a really late Ba goal and went out on away goals year before and this year they had to play Vs Barca with a lot of suspensions IIRC. Plus I don't think anybody was stopping Barca this year anyway.

I know what you mean though, there is a whiff of Man City about them at some points.

Yeh I guessed there was an element of wum there.

The rest is a bit of a myth tbh. The idea he failed bcos we played hoofball is an easy cop out. We played our best football with Herrera, Carrick and Mata in the second half of the season. Di Maria when he played just didnt perform to the level he's capable of. The actual reason for his lack of form was fck all to do with Fellaini, it was about his position. He should have been left of midfield or as an out and out left winger. That's why he was more effective at the start of the season.

Couple that with the fact we lacked a proper DM when Carrick was injured meant LVG set us up to be slow and cumbersome which also doesnt suit Di Maria's game. But with the acquisition of Schwein and Schneid, he will have a much better 2nd season with the space and freedom he'll have to go forward.

You could have said that about every club a year ago, except Barcelona. Including PSG. Hardly a good argument.

The comparison between RM and MU is the same now aswell, RM go into their season with a real shout for La Liga and minimum QF in
the Champions League. MU go into the season looking for top 4,with little chance of a title challenge. And we would all be surprised to see
them at the business end of the CL. That is where the respective clubs are at the moment, you can't deny it <laugh>

I think your opinion is based more on hope than reality. But anyhow seeing as Bis was talking about Di Maria's move last year and therefore nearly every club would have been a step down from RM, it is all a moot point
