I don't know the rules for CL so take your word for it <ok>

I might be wrong. Might be something to do with the HG players, have to have at least 4 that are classed as club trained - but under 21s still eligible without needing to be included in those lists

It's the b list.

If you are u21 you must be on the club register for 2 years before you see qualified

Last year nyoni didn't qualify.

This year ngumoha doesn't qualify.

You must have 3 years as u21 to count as hg when a senior.

Elliott counts as club trained as he got his 3 years here despite being from Fulham.

He moved from b list to senior hg.

Which is different to prem rules isn’t it? Where any under 21 no matter how long been at club is fine to play and doesn’t need to fit into the official 25 man list?

Tbh probably not a lot of foreign players will have even heard of Newcastle. One poor run in the CL won't have caught a lot of attention. In contrast utd's reach is huge, notwithstanding the 2 clubs current situations which may not factor into any decision.

He's already said he was a United fan as a kid, hasn't he? I mean, so did Ekitike, but that's different. A bit like Solkjaer in reverse - you're not going to turn down a move to Utd, Liverpool, or Arsenal (unless another one of those 3 bids for you as well) regardless of your boyhood team.

Newcastle won't give a sure thing a pay rise.

Wjy would they pay sesko what itd will pay him

All thwy had to do was pay isak when they promised and how much the promised.

I haven't bothered researching this but was Isak hot property before he joined Newcastle? It's amazing that they got home in the first place. Maybe promises of great things, with the expectations of who the new owners were, didn't come into fruition.

I seem to remember him setting an international tournament on fire when he was a teenager. Don't remember much after that. tbh.

We've never spent like this in one window before. Alison and VvD im consecutive windows would rank as pretty similar in today's money though but that wasn't in one window. We'll have to watch the purse strings for a couple of seasons now though... And people will start complaining again next summer.
For sure.

I can't remember the last time we spent like this. Jurgen Klopp was not afforded this luxury.
tbf I don't think JK was a big spender anyway even if he'd been/was afforded the chance. He liked a core group of players to work with over many years. He'd want the club to spend only when it was necessary. I also got the feeling he wasn't big into squad changes

Not really.

A lot looked at him but nobody was willing to go for him.

What's the common denominator here? Newcastle.

If he was hot property then120k a week 3 years ago was a terrible deal for himself

Dortmund to real sociadad is a move down.
Then moved to newcastle.

That says he's had two.moves where nobody targeted him until now.

Looks like Sesko is Utd bound. NUFC will be forced to look at their plan B, C, D…….

They knew that Isak wanted out at the beginning of the window after they failed to deliver their promises but did nothing. They’ve been beaten to every primary target that they’ve chased…..there is no plan and players and their agents know it. It’s gross mismanagement.

Just give him 250k a week.

He can then demand his release clause.l for next summer.

I'll bet you this deal will be done before July 1 next year as newcastle will be in psr trouble already.
