Football is no longer just a sport, it’s a multi million pound business where kicking a football is just a by product. With the advent of social media etc, clubs players agents etc all have their say in public . In the past we knew very little about players, they were on a pedestal and seeing them on a weekend was a highlight, it still is but the mystique has gone.
The old way I referred to was klopp going and getting Szoboszlai with no fuss or media needed. The club knew his release and met it. Same for nunez. It o yl broke when happening
