Zubimendi, who we nearly landed last year, rumoured to be going to Arsenal and looks like he's pulling out of that one as well. Not sure whether it's the mountains this time or the beach ......

see he was bigging up Alonso and Madrid the other day that if they came calling would be had to resist with xabi being a sociadad legend and Madrid obviously being Madrid.

Does seem the sort that if joins arsenal would be home sick and end up leaving on loan or sold a year or two later.

If that is supposedly true that’s on social media Arteta should end the transfer dealing now with Sociadad and let Zubimendi rot in his second rate team and let him cry at night ****ing over photos of the hills listening to the Sound Of Music

I'm not saying that wouldn't be the case for Man Utd too, just that I'd understand a player putting for Man Utd over Chelsea

I would agree that Man U have a larger fan base and history, but in terms of ambition, I would rather go to Chelsea right now. Man U are such a car crash right now that money really does seem like the only reason to choose them. Maybe comeptition for places as well, but if you're ambitious, you've got to back yourself.

Think the latest was that he said something like, he doesn't know where he's playing next season.

Sounds like he's shopping around, trying to drum up interest elsewhere, probably cause he wants to actually win a trophy.

If he pulls out of the Arsenal transfer, you'd have to question whether he wants to leave Sociedad at all. As for what you say about Real, if they want him all they have to do is wait until his contract is up and take him on a free. That's their style.
