Some players are unlucky with injury while some players are lucky for example Salah don't usually get injured. Whenever Jota is fit he always give his best. I will keep Jota over Nunez.

I don't get what your beef is.

He's an extremely good player who has not signed a new contract that has been offered. He would an great addition to the squad, especially for a free.

If we do sign him, it potentially frees up funds for other positions.

As an addition? Yeah, but he's 30 next month and will be on Thiago-type wages. If we were getting him now when we need him I'd also say a decent deal. But you do realise he's going to be our marquee signing, don't you? And probably the only one for another two seasons after that. :emoticon-0112-wonde

If we’re challenging for titles then does it matter?

Rsther do this than spend £300 on Antony Onana zirkzee and hojlund and be bottle half of the table

    ????

Because United (and the B/S) have spunked billions up the wall between them doesn't give FSG the right to treat one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe like it was a food bank in Cantril Farm. But go on, tell us again how Hicks and Gillett nearly bankrupted the club (they did too), so, therefore, we should be grateful and tug our forelocks appreciatively.

    Bah, humbug. :emoticon-0114-dull:

Spending the most money doesn’t gaursnteee the player is good. We signed chiesa and keeper this year neither of which have played and were challenging for title and top of Europe and in semi of LC and 4th round of FA cup so why the negativity?

So basically this stuff will get a lot lot worse when all 3 out of contract leave.

Unless we are waiting for July 1 in some form of secret deal with two of them (highly unlikely) then there's absolutely zero reason to have not done a deal except for the two I have put forward

    A) we don't want them

    B) we can't afford them.

There's no other reasons I can think of some the clubs point of view.

You.can debate either any which way as there's subsets of the two reasons such as players giving **** off level requirements or whatever as they also don't want to sign.

In the end richard Hughes better buckle up cos the ride coming won't be pretty

Fans are looking right now at a league title and all is well bit if the team continued to falter at 3-4-0 level and finsies 2nd then he will be blamed per the above for not signing some mythical players

When the 3 walk and the team is looking st 2014/15 level post suarez decisions and he doesn't deliver signings (nobody can deliver 3 signing like those 3) then he is going to be absolutley savaged.

I can see both sides of the argument. I agree its hard to be negative seeing the position we are in. But we seem to be in this position due to the incredible under rated job Slot has done. I feel Hughes and Edwards have hampered Slot by not signing anyone. Chiesa was a 10 million gamble not someone Slot really wanted. With none of the 3 signing as of yet it is getting worrying. Couple of months ago could see 2 signing I am now leaning towards all 3 leaving. Hughes has'nt instilled any confidence so far so don't feel comfortable Hughes replacing those 3 huge players could see a £15-20 million gamble on VvD replacement at the moment.

I feel we need a mixture of cheap data driven signings as well as established players that would bring quality to the team but would come at a price. At the moment it does feel we are mainly concentrating on the cheap data driven signings. I get Daniel Levy vibes from Hughes very tight and hard to deal with.

Is quite simple. If tje fans turn on him he won't be there.

Fsg know the score as the first people thst get turned on is them as owners and he will be taken apart.

All he needs do is act like he is at an elite club and make elite decisions.

Fans of other clubs cannot believe what is happening at Liverpool. We are not trying to shoot ourselves in the foot, we are trying to shoot our selves in both feet. I get the hard headed business stance but go out and buy three world class players like Salah BVD and Trent, see what it costs. A sensible approach would have been to get those contracts sorted ages ago and get a decent left back in for the rest of the season.

    It doesn't matter now.

You won't actually replace a player like salah just like that. The difference between salah and suarez is stark. All suarez wanted to do was get a move to one of two clubs.

Same with torres, striker who lacked the robustness and genius

There will be another player but it'll need 2 to replace him. 9 is an eyesore covered up by his numbers.

Vvd reminds be of how long we waited for hyppia. 10 years almost to be quite honest.

City had kompany amd replaced by Dias after laporte.

    It's never easy

Trent I couldn't give a stuff. Bradley is fine.

Players come and go but you could easily spend 500mil and miss a couple of times. All the best data cannot predict.injury or hinger

I'm fully expecting at least Trent, and maybe one or both of the others to leave... But none of them have actually signed elsewhere either

    Nothing announced at least.

Real stunts aside (im sure we can all ignore them or even see them for what they are) im sure the players would not want anything to come out so their balls are licked like frimino all the way to the end.

Fans assumed firmino was going to barca or something and the club were done with him so the sung his bake constantly.

Do you think if it was announced salah took 3 mil a week or whatever out of Saudi thst Egyptian king would be sung after salah misses a shot?

Nobody outside the players camp knows where they are at right now.

We think salah has said enough to think he just wants a deal. Maybe it's all rubbish who knows.

If that's the case, after just recording record revenues, we're totally ****ed. It can only be stadium debt, and this doesn't affect PSR anyway. The owners need to put their ****ing hands in their pockets and pay off @ £150m left considering their £4bn (conservative estimate) asset.

Psr is fine. City are about to prove it's toothless anyway

It'd the uefa rules on revenue v wages/transfers.

    Stadium debts are largely irrelevant.

If our revenue is 600mil (it will be some where around that) then we can spend 420 total on all wages and transfers.

As lfc put all wages in while others are separing them out or worse then we will always be skirting the cheap and call it smart.
