There are always exceptions.
Lampard never looked like management material.
Can't think that Chelsea have had that many young managers or managers who went there too soon apart from those two, who should be the only comparisons. Rafa, Tuchel, Poch and other established managers will always get another big job regardless of their performance, like you said and everyone knows.

I wasn't limiting my comment to Chelsea, or to young or relatively unknown managers.
Tbh, I'm not really bothered either way what McKenna choose to do - it's his career, and it could be a smart move or it could all end in tears.
By that I mean that although the odds are stacked against him at the managerial hell-hole that is Chelsea - it will inevitably raise his profile and how he conducts himself there can influence his career beyond it.

We must have been having parallel conversations or I have misunderstood, sorry.

The silly season is well underway already and the click bait journalists are at it big time. Why would we sell our upcoming young stars?

It's just pep answering general questions and saying he couldn't afford any lfc players but he'd love this lad or thst lad.

Plus of course linders massive ego shining through by taking credit for Bradley and quansah and Elliott.

The more that lad talks the more I don't like him.

Ruben Peeters will become Liverpool’s new first team lead physical performance coach, and is joining the Dutchman in making the move from Feyenoord to Anfield. He had previously served as head of performance at the Eredivisie club over the past three seasons, following six years as a physical coach with Belgian side KRC Genk.

Hmmm. We will see. He has to know slots game but its an absolutely.massive step up here.

The Dutch league in terms of intensity verses the premier league

Less rest

34 league games, no league cup

They played 48 games and had nearly a month off over dec/Jan.

Thst is in anyone's money a massive uptick in intensity and requirements to get used to.

We took the klopp impersonator from Bayern as an elite club man who we headhunted to work on fitness.

This lad has his masters and such in sports science and has a lot of experience in beligum amd Holland now but this is a step up to hit the ground running so hopefully he has the educational sense to go study thr data we have available to understand what he has to deliver here.

But this is a big step up.

Yes bit if you are used to prepping for running 400m and.are asked to run 10000m then you'll blow up.

If you've no experience of it then it's a big challenge to adapt quickly.

Let's see how he does.
