I think the days of keeping injuries secret are long gone mate, doesn't seem to happen anymore. Over two legs, we should be beating them still anyway
VvD and Matip (arguably) are our first choice CB pairing, both out (I think I read VvD is a couple of weeks away) Robbo and his understudy both out for LB now Trent out as RB that’s an entire starting back four out. Add Salah and Slobodob to that, both nailed on first team players and Endo who has fought his way into that #6 role successfully. Then factor in that Mac and Jota anre being ‘eased’ back in and not playing 90 and I’m not so sure that it’s going to be as easy as some think versus Fulham. In fact, I think we’re going to struggle if we don’t score a couple quickly.
we don't even intend to start our world class gk. kelleher Bradley quansah vvd gomez Elliott macca Jones diaz gakpo nunez jota to come on. yeah we are missing or resting alisson trent knoate matip Robertson Szoboszlai endo gravenberch salah jota doak fun times.
To be fair despite all those people out, it's still a pretty strong side left over. Back to what I was saying last week about how, in our "regular squad" there's really no especially weak links at the moment. The problem right now is there's no one left for the bench.
they've said he was back training so I am guessing so. we can go 45mins for 2 or the 3 cbs if we like
Well they'll do in a pinch. it's better than looking at the div and minime as options but look how far klopp got with those.
He travelled for the game at the weekend but got sent home due to illness, as far as I know. Edit: didn't travel was ruled out before.
So spurs: Sign a player who's struggled at Leipzig with injury and form after a disastrous chelsea spell. a loan with option to buy at 15mil. seems low risk move to improve options. sign a cb for 25 mil or so after their two main cbs are injured ( romero and vdv) also seems a wise move to bring in yoof and prep for dier going. the only question is where they all on ffp. i think the prior season were fine but last season is yet to come out. theyve now spent about 270mil or so and recouped 110 so they have to blanace this next summer or over 3 years in general Brennan Johnson - too expensive but is playing in rotation James Maddison - back luck with injury but for sure an improvement on team and a hit Pedro Porro - Completing a loan so again not a bad tactic and hes a hit Micky van de Ven - As per maddison, looked ok at cb and unlucky. Dejan Kulusevski - per porro. Complete the laon and a big player for the, Guglielmo Vicario - a good singing. decent keeper. They are getting the decisions right recently. they are going to have to do some move work at CM shortly so they will be watching ffp closely.
They've done ok and the 2 new additions would be pretty decent signings. I can actually see Werner working quite well in their system. Maddison is quality but these long lay offs seem to follow him so I'm not sure they'll ever get him in the team for a solid season.
I would guess that they're revenue is now pretty high so can afford to spend on transfers particularly as they have what so far appear to be some bargains in Betancour,Vicario,Udogie and VdV .
I think they have at least got to the point where a team is forming that's logical and can threaten Vicario Porro Romero VDV Udogie Sarr Bentacour Kulusevski Maddison Werner Son
He certainly needs to rekindle his form. At least he knows he can do it at that level so it's down to him to take the opportunity.
