Of the names mentioned the longest serving was Lucas who was with the club 10 years 2007 - 2017

Alonso at 5 2004 - 2009

Fabinho at 5, 2018 - 2023 but you could say we only got 3 1/2 out of Fab

Macherano was only here 3 years. 2007-2010

Lucas must have had something about him to last 10 years

he was a young developing player nobody else wanted but in 2011 prior to injury he was at his very peak of fitness and running.

a player where patience reaped rewards.

I wish we kept alonso a lot longer. an absolute travesty of a sale.

Loved Lucas, always have his all no matter what was asked. However, the biggest contributor to him playing ten years was the line of **** managers that continued to **** up the squad!

prob got 3 years longer than he should after injury. but he really worked to have his career.
 
Lucas got lot of hate early on which was unfair. Signed straight from Brazil and was just a kid. But he won over every fan and turned into a very good defensive midfielder despite being an attacking one back in Brazil.

Will always go down as a proper red.

I defended him from day one. Will always defend a player that puts the effort in, can't ask for more than that.

Good news if you're mito ...... Liverpool have walked away from a January acquisition of Andre as Fluminense significantly increase the 'agreed' price for the player amidst widening interest.

Liverpool's attention now turned instead to the young Salzburg DM, Gourna-Douath with more good news for mito, the lad's over 6 feet tall.

Think I saw a random article that said Fulham are now front runners for him.

Bit of a drop for the lad with no disrespect to Fulham.
 
Know it’s not all come about because of Newcastle link to Saudi gov and Saudi gov owning 4 other teams who are signing players on huge wages who could feasible be loaned for free back to Newcastle to get round ffp.

But it should have been banned years ago when multi club ownership was kicking off. Should be huge scrutiny and restrictions on moving players from one club to another.

Distorts the market and doesn’t make it fair competition and that’s not just Newcastle but all clubs with those kind of links.
