Gakpo has been good defensively but he's still massively short compared Bobby ... and that's a regressed Bobby we're talking about.
I think the recruitment is based on more than just age ... with that said, Thiago is another prime example of us deviating from the process. Plus giving out large contracts to **** player. I just hope you're happy - that's my main priority.

He turned down a bumper pay increase to keep his release clause. That release clause ensures him options in the future. He's done it at every club which as enabled him to move clubs easier.
Those clubs don't lose out; sure they have to sell him for less than he's potentially worth but they signed him for less too.
