JWP a very average player who has made a name for himself cos he can take a very good free kick.

Was linked a couple years ago I believe along with few others. Then just not heard anything about him since then
if we are going by who fits then
a) free or coming to end of contract
b) age
c) future value
d) wages
all come into the thinking
Ndika is a 23 year old, french u21 CB who can play LCB, LB, DCM. he absolutely fits the known model we operate on. he will be 24 at start of next season
Mount is 24 (since jan) with contract running down. he can play LCM, Cm, no 10, LW., only issue is wages
i'm sure there are others like this
Nico Williams - although he's more of an attacking RW than defensive. 20 years old plays for Bilbao.

Bit harsh, granted he's not the best - but he came from a team that has other ideas for its FBs.
I find it interesting that when we see FBs that are mostly defensive they're condemned for being negative and bringing nothing to the team, yet when they're more attacking then they're condemned for being awful defenders.
It's that same old fan dichotomy - if you're not perfect you're ****.
