It makes sense in that he's a warm body for an area we're desperately short in. Like Caulker, Sabine and Kabak were. But we're obviously not convinced he's good enough long term otherwise we'd be buying him and/or moved for him earlier.

And it does help to bridge the time to Bellingham next season (if we get him). But Ox, Keita and Milner are all out of contract next season. That leaves us with Thiago, Hendo, Fab, Jones and Elliot. Carvalho if you play him in midfield. Even if you add Bellingham that's still a couple short. Maybe another extension for Milner? Otherwise we could be buying three midfielders next summer.
 
Desperate measures,it's not like we didn't know we had a midfield problem before start of the season.It was easy to see that sick note Keita was never going to make it and should have been sold when he was fit.Same with Chamberpot never been good enough even when fully fit,Klopp has to take blame for these coz he was too sentimental by the looks of it.

He’s been tracked for a while. Energetic and good range of passing so seems to suit our midfield. Not a big goal scorer or creative so more then link up man in thiago mould.

Wouldn't say a full on panic in way Kabak/caulker we’re that’s harsh on the guy that’s played for both Juve and Barca. Clearly a very good player just style doesn’t suit Juve system

Take issue with that - Keta, yes, you're right. Ox was fabulous in the second half of his first season with us though before he got that career-threatening injury (after which he's never had the same speed or flexibility, truth be told). In fact, I'd say he was our MOTM in the tie against City in the CL qf.

Do we have any room in the squad for anymore overseas signings as you are only allowed so many overseas players? Still surprised no one has gone for Tielmans yet seems odd to me..

I don't really see sentiment coming into it at all. It's all pragmatism imo, nobody is interested in buying them, so short of giving them away in Lucky Bags, we're stuck with them until their contracts run out.

Leicester have been asking too much for Tielemans plus personally think he wants to just see out his contract so he gets better wages off his new club .

Issue - I took issue. My point, that I'll stick to, was that before he got injured Ox was decent. And a tie is two games. But yes, he's frigging useless now and has been for four years, so I don't have ISSUE with your overall point.
