Tbf it’s not like they are first choice. not many clubs have 7 world class central midfielders. Keita gets into most midfields in the prem when fit. Milner is a solid go to option on the bench. Ox again is a starter for most mid table prem clubs. If they were our 3 main cm’s going into season then yes would be a worry. we probably have lost depth in Cm than anyone else in the league. All 3 are internationals.
Don’t think was at his best, but was also disrupted by injury. Thing is he has a habit of sticking ball in the net. He’s like the opposite of Bobby. Bobby plays well links up nicely but will go games without scoring. Jota on other hand will be anonymous at times, touch will let him down a bit, then he’s bang in 2 goals. Hopefully Nunez is a good mixture of both! think will see Jota more out wide this season given have Nunez and firmino for central and north much cover for diaz and Salah.
Chukwuemeka off to Chelsea. Doing medical after clubs agreed fee. Seems an odd move for him. Prob would have played a bit this season at villa, got bit of game time last season. instead, off to Chelsea, prob go on loan for next 4 years then be sold to another mid table team for a profit having played half as much football at a lower level than if had stayed at villa. do wonder who is advising these kids.
Lfc out of contract list now Milner, rolling 1 year. Adrian Oxlade chamberlain Keita Firmino 2 years left Thiago Matip Van den berg Always work to be done. It will be interesting to see if any of these players get signed up, firmino for example. I can see milner deciding again in post season
Have not heard since so I assume there's talks whatever but nobody in the usual media is jumping all over it like jota was fairly common knowledge. I'd be happy to have 3 hg keepers and Adrian gone. No big deal with ox, he's nearly worthless now even if on 5 year deal. Firmino is the ine to watch
