It's hard to replicate what Salah does because there aren't many great left footed, right sided forwards out there.
I don't think Elliott fits into the great bracket just yet If we're talking substitute roles while he's developing, he's quick enough if he has Carvalho doing the running for him.
but compared to prime salah or the sainted mane? I think the midfield role klopp has in mind will suit him like a lapdance in slough suited lallana
Most of the time we force teams back and we have to break them down, pace isn't needed then. Creativity, quick thinking and a bit of acceleration is better.
this is true for 70% of a game its not as important as sides are 10men back, then again even the **** sides get a corner or whatever and can be be run at when the chance arises. This not true when we play the top top teams, where possession is closer to parity. I have noticed that our break aways were becoming less effective last season so imo we are seeing the tail off of pace form the two aforementioned so getting diaz and nunez running is going to be crucial. you cant beat pace.
he does but as you correctly point out, it’s not all you need when trying to break the door down. Tbh, against us, he had acres of space to run into and he hurt us. Will be interesting to see how he adapts his game when he has a lack of space. If he starts against Fulham, I’m still backing him to score regardless.
That no 10 stuff came out of an error at the first or second preseason game. I would take it with a.pinch of salt til you.see it's actually true.
I think it's already been announced. I did a quick Google when dribs posted and there's an Echo story headlining it although I haven't read it.
