the thing is we will pay least wages of all so at 22 he might just see us as the route to glory and a future big payday, which is not bad.
With mendes involved i am wondering where does the other shoe fall in this deal.

With Benzema being the main striker would he want to be a bench warmer? If we do get Nunez then Mane will probably go for £40m tops

well, i guess least wages is least of a very selective bunch of clubs we are trying to complete with.

City, Utd, Cheslea (former?), Real, Barca, Bayern, PSG. They all pay 400k-500k a week. we might be offering this lad 150 or 200k (who knows really) but i dubt we are offering more than we are trying to get salah to sign for.

you are right that a lot of clubs in the rest of the enligsh league will be on a par or less like arsenal and spurs.

40mil would be an absolute stonking deal for a 12month left 30 year old whinger.


Benzema is 34 years old now and turns 35 in December at the world cup.

Real have to be in the market so nothings done til its done i suppose.

Chelsea to replace Lukaku
Bayern to replace Lewandowski
Madrid to replace Benzema at some point
PSG for a laugh
Spurs to replace Kane (yeah, not happening)

Who at Chelsea or Bayern are on 400-500k p.w ?
plus very much doubt Barca are offering those sort of wages anymore .

lukaku was on 350k aweek
werner on 300k
Havertz on 310k.

none would be considered super stars just chelsea overpaying for players

At bayern
Lewandowksi was on 350k
Nueuer, Muller and kimmich supposedly 300k

At real:
bale 600k
Alaba 380k
hazard 380k
kross 310k
modric and benzema on a paltry 285k a week


At PSG:
Messi: take a guess. its hard to know if its 1mil a week or not
Mbappe: massive deal 1mil a week
neymar 600k a week (poor him)

they then gorssly under report a lot of players who we were rumours to see on 300k a week like wijnaludm (supposedly only get 180k)

At city:
KDB 400k
haaland 400k
sterling, grealish 300k


In general 400k is a top top wage out there are we are topping out on 200k.
