Tbh I’m not sure why the pressure to get it done. He was always going back to Fulham.

Nothig stopping the clubs agreeing to the transfer now with the move taking place in summer.

Not as bad no, but that's quite a high bar. He's been released under investigation while enquiries continue, so he's not out the woods yet. He's also been banned for speeding twice. Even in the best case scenario, he doesn't sound like the sort of character Klopp would want.

 

Maybe not. Tbf innocent until proven guilty.

Was more that type of player I was thinking. A ball winner who can also use the ball well in way Fabinho and Kante do. Hard to find but we need someone to help fab when he’s injured/needs a rest

 

Last summer I touted Bissoumma as much as anybody. He is, as you say, box-to-box, dynamic, and comfortable on the ball in all scenarios. I just don't think we're ready to take a risk on iffy characters unless they're truly galactic quality like Suarez: even then I think we might well pass on another Luis nowadays, for better or worse.

 

Depends what you mean by iffy characters. I don't remember any off-field issues with Suarez. But by the timenhe joined us, there had been the biting incident at Ajax. I'm not sure Klopp would have gone for him after that.

 

I'd say the issue with carvalho is that that was the chance to get a deal done and now it's totally in the agents hands.

I would be not surprised to hear he goes for extra wages to somewhere in Europe now.

Fulham just screwed themselves over as they ran the clock out on the last chance to get paid. 8mil they wanted and now they'll be lucky to see 4 in 2 years time when the tribunals finally sit down of if I am right they'll see 0 as he will go to Europe.

 

In the end we had less than an hour to do both and agree the loan back.

Fulham also got williams on loan.

 

I missed that the Williams deal was completed.

I thought personal terms had already been agreed but oh well. I would think we're big draw for him so he would still be interested if we are, probably depends if someone else is prepared to pay more so we say it's not worth it.

 

Again Fulham didn't actually want him.to go so they hedged on not even allowing the basics for the deal until fee and loan back were agreed.

I am very confident they just slit their own throat on any contract hopes that remained and a fee as well.

The 150mil prize seems.most important to them
