These young players under 20 prefer to come to Liverpool because they are aware of chances of being in the first team earlier than Chelsea City Arsenal and United. It is abomination if they are not given chances at Liverpool.
For any fans who may not have seen you play, tell us what your skills are as a defender and what kind of player you are... I like to think I'm a ball-playing centre-back who likes to be physical and has got a bit of pace. I'd like to say I'm a leader as well. You're comfortable at centre-back and right-back. Have you got a preference and where do you see yourself in the long-term? I made my debut and started playing at first last season at right-back. I really enjoyed it there because I like to get forward. But I definitely see myself as a centre-back, I feel more comfortable there and enjoy it there. So in the long-term, hopefully centre-back. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/187360-gomez-i-m-buzzing-to-be-at-liverpool
City and Chelsea apparently interested in Song... Because he qualifies as home grown surely you wouldn't move to a club just because they see you as useful for reaching their home grown quota?!
Luis Alberto's 2 year loan deal with Malaga has been cut short and he's back at anfield. Wonder if if he'll play much this year
Joining Liverpool is a big step up for Joe Gomez, but the Charlton starlet is an exciting talent with the potential to succeed where other young players have failed, writes Nick Wright. It has been a rapid rise for Joe Gomez. The defender was only three months past his 17th birthday when he was handed his Championship debut by Charlton, and less than a year later he has become Liverpool’s fourth signing of the summer. Most young players would be overawed by such a whirlwind year, but Gomez has had to grow up fast ever since he was fast-tracked into Charlton’s U18s at the age of 13.
Obviously we need a big name striker, but I cant think of who we are going to bring in. Getting a bit depressed about it now. We have been treated to such riches in recent years and i cant see who we can bring in. Ironically our strikeforce now is probably still better than it was when we won the champions league. If we cant bring in a quality 21-24 year old 20 goal a seasoner then I would use Sinclair plenty in preseason and pray he emerges from the youth a la Fowler or Owen. Are we in for anyone?
Reading that Real are letting Benzema go to Arsenal so they can bring Aguero in from City Not good news for City if that happens
When I've seen him play I've always thought he looks quite good, very classy on the ball, not so sure he's good enough but I'd rather give him a chance in place of Borini or Balo.
I don't see that happening. Only we are stupid enough to give away our star player, with the ideal replacement then leaving for a rival.
Alberto is ****ed. He ran off to malaga and flopped. He had a fee agreed so I expect to see him be loaned to low level Spanish team this year again. As for gomez. ... let him be what he is. A kid. Let's see what develops. **** 4 in for **** all and it's a whine and cheese fest. If we'd nobody it's be the same
You honestly believe that? Rodgers sees Sturridge as our answer and now has Origi and Ings as back up. Realistically Sturridge is expired imo, too many injuries, always fighting back for fitness, we should be looking for a new main striker. We won't get one though.
I have had a look at the major scorers and assisters in the European major leagues and have decided purely on statistics and information on wikipedia that we should sign Domenico Berardi. A quick and hardworking left-footed player with an eye for goal, Berardi is capable of being deployed in several offensive positions on either side of the pitch, or through the centre; he has been utilised as a striker and as a supporting forward, although his preferred position is that of a winger.[25] Berardi is regarded as one of the most talented and promising young footballers of his generation;[26] in 2014, Don Balón listed him as one of the top-100 young players in the world.[27] Former Milan and Italy manager, Arrigo Sacchi, has described Berardi as "a player of great talent, a modern footballer who plays for the team all over the field. The liveliness, intuition, temperament, strength combine with a good technique. Scored 15 last season and assisted 10. Just what we are looking for. if we cant have him I think we should by Nabil Fekir France manager Didier Deschamps said on calling him up to the France squad in March 2015 "Fekir is a player with great potential. I consider that he can bring us something different. He plays in a different role to the others. He can score and set up others to score."[5] Scored 13 and assisted 9 Havent heard all that much about these two but in my opinion based on an afternoons work I think they will both be stars and are the best we can hope for that fit the owners profile
