He's never been an attacking midfield player

He took the penalties and dead balls mateMore attacking than defensive at Villa. Played in a three and wasn't the holding player. Bagged quite a few goals for them too.
He took the penalties and dead balls mate
He played in various positions for villa but was mainly CM
Sissoko played mainly out wide under PardewHe scored more than just dead balls. However, isn't Sissoko a CM? [HASHTAG]#backtotheoriginalpoint[/HASHTAG]
I'm still worried that we'll keep Sterling and then lose him for a lot less as he's not going to sign a new contract.
The only thing is, he's 'only' on 35k a week so if were adamant on not selling this summer then he's going to be earning a lot less if he still doesn't sign a new contract.
Can see something like a new contract being signed but with a release clause or similar to Suarez. Promise that we'll sell if club meets certain amount etc
Sissoko would be a typical Liverpool signing - someone who looks good on MOTD.
Hope we steer clear - poor attitude, inconsistent and actually isn't that good.
I don't think he'll do that though, Suarez maybe as crazy as a box of frogs but I think there's aman in there who has certain values, Sterling is coming accross as a player who is money driven and quite cold he wont sign and he'll cause a lot of unrest and bad press. Yes hold out for a figure but that's been met at £40 million we may want to negotiate a bit more or add ons but we're nuts not to take this opportunity.
Like I've said I'm worried as to what we'll do with the money but lets give Rodgers a chance and see if he can get some good players in.
And if he is money driven then the thought of spending another year or possibly 2 on 35k a year rather than the 100k being offered may not be his ideal situation. If we really dig in deep and just refuse to sell he'll be losing out on a lot of money in shorty term by not signing new a new deal
