How much is he gonna be worth in a years time though? Hitting 30. Don’t think his value is gonna be massive.

50mil max.

He has been found out ;) with lfc all you need do is buy time and he is then limited to pot shots. He need to run behind to really score a lot of goals. Teams sit deep and it's all good.

Remember mourinho for spurs sending his side out to playa dire game at anfield. He was sat on the bench very happy until they got caught once on a long ball over top and mourinho was straight up of the bench screaming and beating his defenders. They didnt listen and 5mins later salah runs in again.

That type of player is not what the top top sides are looking for.

That's the same with mane. Nobody wants a guy who needs 4 chances to score 1.

No real loss in terms of money. He’s all paid for now so any money sold is pure profit. Heck he’s paid for himself by winning the league and CL. Same with all the players in that squad so any money we do get if he moves on is just pure profit.

It's not the profit it's how to replace 20 league goals and 30 in total. Our system is entirely dependent on his ability to break and run in behind.

Take him out and you might as well bin mane and firmino and buy 3 new players. 50mil wont put a dent in that.

Will be end of an era so those 3 will need replacing. In theory Jota is scoring 20 goals a season if stay fit whole year so players are out there to do it.

Tbf not many teams have 3 forwards hitting those numbers but they have midfielders chipping in. Most teams have 1 or 2 big scorers so could be that our system and style changes over time to accommodate different players

I think jota is a wide forward not a 9/10 so I put him in lw slot.

We need to evolve again as pressing high is fine but our main ways to score have been negated by teams just sitting deep and not coming out. Salah gets one a game at best. Chelsea are fine exponents of the art but showed all our issues.

Matip kept a lost cause in and then there was a scramble we got a break from. Aside from that we could be there still and never score.

We need to change again and imo i would like to see more direct running and getting bodies in the box.

2 forwards next summer plus 1 cm. Minimum.

Players are looking at what the petrol clubs are paying and it is going to make life very difficult for us. They have almost unlimited access to funds and have stables of lesser starlets out on loan that can be sold off if needed to balance the books. We cannot compete with them financially, hence Saul off to Chelsea as our bid was not enough. I do not blame the owners for running a tight ship but I fear a financial mini league of three in the premier league when our present squad ages a bit more and top quality players like Haaland follow the money

Giving Mo Salah £500k a week will not be the end VVD and others are going to ask for better deals.

They should have asked before signing new terms matter of weeks ago. They missed the boat on that one and Liverpool have no need to worry about offering them better terms
