I think you're right in everything you say here. The media is the main way we find out about what's happening in the world. Do they have a responsibility to their consumers to be as accurate and truthful as they can be? As more and more of those involved in bringing us the news see it only as a way of making money, I'm not sure anymore.
They still have a responsibility to be truthful and accurate but I'm not sure many outlets live up to it.
All true, but obviously the whole point of clickbait is to increase clicks and get more advertising revenue. So there's an active incentive to make up as much as you can just to increase traffic and get more money. It really annoys me that online headlines don't actually contain proper Information anymore so you have to click the link to find out what the actual news is.
100mil bid in for grealish. apparently. or not. That is absolutely ridiculous for a guy with no real pace or trick bar falling over.
yeah, halcyon days. Unless of course they were merely naivety at work. paying 100mil for a luxury player who nobody wanted when villa were relegated is astounding behaviour. the guy still doesn't track back, that's why southgate wouldn't put him in.
Some players perform very well in small clubs, but in bigger clubs fail to fit the bill. £100m for Grealish is over the top, city may regret it.
Liverpool have been linked with so many players this summer I can no longer count on my fingers: Who have Liverpool been linked with? Florian Neuhaus - Liverpool are trying to offload some of their fringe players or face having to wait until next summer to land the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder - one of Jurgen Klopp's chief targets (Daily Mirror, July 30). Adama Traore - Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is prioritising the Wolves winger as he looks to add to his attacking options this summer, but he will face competition from Chelsea (Daily Express, July 28). Saul Niguez - Reports claim that Liverpool's opening bid was rejected but did suggest that the Atletico Madrid and Spain midfielder had 'half a foot in Liverpool'. (Mundo Deportivo, July 11); Liverpool may include Xherdan Shaqiri or Divock Origi in a deal to sign the Atletico midfielder (Daily Express, July 15). Federico Chiesa - Liverpool hold an interest in the 23-year-old but are not planning to take it any further as they consider him to be too expensive (Sky Sports, July 26); after a few weeks of a slow going in the transfer market, Liverpool are now going all out to sign Euro 2020-winning attacker Chiesa (Daily Express, July 26). Don't really know what to believe again. We wait and see !!!.
According to reports coming out of Italy, Liverpool have "pounced " on Manuel Locatelli, 23 year old Sassuolo midfielder.
i suppose that is as close to a guy claiming he has been told by the club as you can go i suppose. Neither ever seemed right, far too much chat out of spain.
neuhaus one is one that went quiet didn't it. It'd be the type of one we actually looked at. I don't quite know how many more we need to offload though. We already looking a bit average in midfield reserves
